Favre's year with the Jets in 2008 is a good example of how he made a QB perform worse.

He got the best out of Russ. Hasn't been the same since.

Everyone is overreacting to his name.

Wilsons's best year was 2015 IMO.

I'm not overreacting to his name. His name is the only reason why his subpar resume is getting him HC interviews.

His best years we're with Schotty (2018-2020) statistically.

The point I'm trying to make is that he's not as bad as everyone makes him out to be (OC). Russ had his best years under him & the team was consistently a top 5-10 offense. He always had very good rushing attacks. The Hawks we're the #1 rushing team his first year. Which is why Russ was so successful with him as the play caller.

The biggest knock on him is the lack of creativity within his offense. Also, not a ton of postseason success.

It seems that the Cowboys talking to Pete Carroll and even Deion has more to do with them getting a feeling of what they think about Brian Schottenheimer. I expect Jerry will make the announcement that Brian Schottenheimer is the HC in the week before the SB.

Even if it’s a small chance that this is true and it’s not Schotty I’ll take it!

Schotty would likely be his OC lol.

That might actually be what they’re setting up. I think there’s a chance Schotty is the OC under Pete Carroll or Kellen Moore. The HC is likely going to be one of these 3 guys.

OR it's possible that Jerry reached out to him to ask about Schotty instead.

On the one hand, the way people talk about him, he seems like a good coaching candidate

On the other, not a great look to agree to an extension and then the next day turn around and leave. I know Belichick did it, but so did Bobby Petrino

I think go after a promotion is different than leaving to make a lateral move. Obviously he initially rejected because of Baalke.

His pedigree seems strong, one of the better hires of this offseason. At least it is not a Schottenheimer lol.

Pete is old. But he'll make the Raiders somewhat relevant again as long as he's there.

Pete doesn't need the money lol. He could retire today & live a very comfortable life. He still had a year on his contract when he was let go in Seattle. So, he was still getting paid this past season by the club.

Pete is a Football lifer. He's the type that wants to work till the very end lol. It's pretty much all he knows. He would easily get bored just sitting around.

Remember that Stanford game very well. App state-Michigan was also the same year but actually Stanford win over USC was a bigger upset.
