Purdy gets paid like a million dollars and essentially just played the greatest quarterback of all time to a tie in the super bowl. He won as many playoff games last year as Dak did in his 9 year career.

Silly to compare Dak to any of those guys maybe except for Murray.

Purdy will be making more Dak within a year’s time. Also last I checked Purdy also has the same number of rings as Dak, in fact the Niners have been in a longer drought than the Cowboys.

You said he is highly paid, and Purdy has very little to do with Niners drought.

Fine, Purdy isn’t in their class yet. In a year when he’s the highest paid QB in NFL history and still hasn’t won a title we can add him to the list. Unless you don’t think he will still be their starting QB in a year?

Because that's Mr B's cope as the fan of a team that hasn't even been to a conference championship game in 30 years.

At least Lions and Browns fans are humble about it.

I just don’t believe in participation trophies. Getting to the playoffs without winning a title shouldn’t be celebrated. That’s loser behavior.

No difference between Dan Marino and Ryan Leaf.

Nobody knows what will happen in a year, only thing we know so far he took his team to super bowl while getting paid minimum.

Also he wont be the highest paid for at least two years.

Purdy’s current contract is up in 2026. We’re at the end of 2024. Unless they franchise Purdy he’s going to be the highest paid QB in the NFL by the end of the season or immediately after the season is over. And that’s great you got to the SB but did you win? Getting there doesn’t mean crap if you lose. You don’t get a trophy for being the #1 loser.

We are in the 2024 season, next year is 2025 season, the season of his new contract will start in approximately 1 year and 11 months.

He has proven he can win it if something happens to Mahomes or even ball bounces differently once, both of which very possible in one game playoffs. You can build around that, you cant build around a player who craps the bed in the playoffs no matter what.

Again, unless they franchise him in 2026 when his rookie contract expires his new contract likely gets worked out in the 2025 season or prior to the 2025 season. Remember he was not a 1st round pick so there is no 5th year option on him. They are not going to wait until his contract actually expires before signing him.

Purdy still hasn’t won’t jack. Almost doesn’t count.

The contract won’t kick in till 2026 but it will definitely affect the 2025 cap. The 49ers won’t be able to backload any contracts and make it difficult to add any free agents.
