Short-term? Probably. But they'll likely be better off in the long run for it.

You been saying that since Geno's second year.

Committing long-term to Geno & DK wasn't getting this team over the hump. So, why hang onto both?

They can reset the roster now & build it the correct way. From the inside-out. Instead of paying a WR $30+ million. Build up the trenches instead.

That would undo much of the moves, Darnold is not going to give you anything except for worse picks and take up cap space. Use your cap and high picks next draft to build your line and defense, then see which quarterback available next year.

I'd be fine with a cheaper option like Cousins on a 1- or 2-year deal. But I think they prefer Darnold. He's a better fit with Kubiak.

  Another bridge QB for another bridge QB. WTF. Your GM should be fired if this is the chosen path. My Lord.

Schneider for Jerry, who says no?

This is a critical offseason for Schneider. But at least he's being pro-active. Unlike Jerry.

It is an overpay but Vrabel building is a solid defense

DOT wrote:Jags signed Jourdan Lewis for 3 years, $30 million ($20 million guaranteed)

Seems a bit weird, like he's a slot guy and Jarrian Jones who's already on the roster was a good slot CB for us last year as a rookie. I guess they want him to play outside now?

Plus, Lewis is 29, so he's not really young anymore. He seems like a good player and it's not a ton of money, just kinda underwhelming as a first signing.

Nick Mullens signed to be Trevor's backup.

Yeah it’s an overpay but I’ve always thought he was a stud. With more reps I think he will get a lot more recognition around the league.
