Just wanted to come in here and say **** the Falcons, sorry ass franchise. They sold my parlay and I played their DST over the Vikings in my high stakes fantasy league which cost me a win.

JJ McCarthy average time to throw during the first 2 weeks: 3.1 seconds

Wentz average time to throw yesterday: 2.5 seconds

So Wentz was getting the ball out half a second quicker and that is also with Darrisaw being back.

That half a second is huge in the NFL. Until JJ can improve his processing time, he needs to stay on the bench. It’s not like Wentz lit it up yesterday, but he showed he could be a solid game manager. And this what this offense needs. Be a solid game manager and let the skill guys make the plays.

I'm kind of worried about the potential of Wentz starting the two games in Europe and looking decent, then the Vikings try to go back to McCarthy after the bye against the Eagles, Ravens and Chargers. That seems like it could be just setting him up for failure. People will immediately be calling for his head.
It probably makes the most sense to let Wentz keep playing as a long as he looks decent.

Ya I think it’s the best move to keep saying JJ will start when he comes back. Because if they come straight out and say it’s now Wentz’s job, it could be a big blow to JJ’s confidence. No need to start the “QB controversy” right now.

But ya if Wentz continues to play smart and just be a solid game manager and the Vikings continue to win, you can’t pull him and put JJ back in. Because ya if that happens and JJ comes back looking like he did for 7 out of the 8 quarters we’ve seen him, a huge chunk of Vikings fans will turn on him, not just the over the top emotional ones like myself haha.

The other thing with Wentz, he’s only been on the team for 3 weeks and only 1 week practicing with the 1s. Get Addison back, clean up some of the holds and pre snap penalties on offense. I can see Wentz looking pretty good and consistent as the game manager for this offense.

To be fair, the Bengals dropped 2 should be interceptions from Wentz.

It would not have changed the outcome one bit yesterday but the Steelers and Browns both have good defenses and ancient QBs.

Then the meat grinder of Eagles, Chargers, Lions, and Ravens. JJ may get put in there again weather he's ready or not lol

Eli is 11th in TDs, 11th in yards, 12th in game winning drives, and he beat Tom Brady head to head for two superbowls. Aside from his name boost, he’s cake walking in.

Almost all those stats are product of the era he played in and he'll likely be outside of top 50 after current generation has time to accumulate numbers.

He wasn't a top 5 QB in the league at any point of his career, probably not even top 10 half the time. He wasn't even that great in the two super bowls, in 08 he wouldn't even be a top ten candidate for the mvp if his name wasn’t Manning.

All that is cool. The voters are going to look at he’s just outside top top 10 in the two most prestigious numbers in pro football, and that he knocked off Tom Brady twice in the superbowl, including beating a 16-0 juggernaut team that rewrote the record books. If Eli getting into the hall upsets you, might want to get it out of your system, like it or not, he’s definitely going in. He’ll be treated as a playoff riser who is also 11th in yards and TDs in the regular season. It doesn’t have to be true, it just is what it is.

If Russell Wilson plays like 2-3 more years he will basically have this same resume too in addition to all the rushing stats.

Point is, both players weren’t really ever the best players or among the best players at their position but both were “very good” for a very long time. Both have longevity on their side.

He won’t because he won’t have two Superbowls against the medias GOAT, and he won’t have the biggest underdog win ever. He’s one of 5 guys with multiple superbowl MVPs.

Eli is going to get treated like Reggie Miller, but if Reggie Miller beat the 72-10 Bulls, and beat Jordan for another title

But what’s the chances Russell starts 2-3 more years?

Wilson's post-Seahawks career has been an absolute disaster. I'm not sure that he did enough in Seattle to make voters forget about the rest of his career

I don’t think the Hall of Fame is generally consequential enough to upset anyone, but it might very well upset the Manning family, as their prestigious name is being used as an example of cronyism.

A franchise changer.

Josh Allen meets and marries that one attractive actress. Dude looks like the best QB all time.

Herbert starts dating this Beer girl and all of a sudden he takes that next step to being an elite franchise QB.

Coincidence? I think not!
