Failed head coaches can still be good coordinators.
Failed coordinators can still be good special team coaches.
No issue there really.

Dallas is bringing him on as the Special Teams Coordinator. The problem is that he wasn't a very good one. He was fired after one year in Jacksonville. They ranked 31st.

He's been a failure as a coordinator. He only lasted one year in SF before he was replaced. His resume isn't good.

He was on Carroll's staff in Seattle for some time. But he was never promoted to be a coordinator.

I didnt think he was that bad as a defensive coordinator, his defense outperformed previous coach's until wheels came off last month of the season.

That being said you dont want anyone from Niners anywhere near your special teams.

Well then that’s a little disappointing.

Cowboys are getting assistants to leave their positions and join them for the same title, so not even a promotion?

Is Jerry opening up the wallet, outpaying them, covering their moving costs, which could involve selling old homes and buying new ones?

No. Sorensen was basically let go. They hired the Arizona OL coach to be their OC.

Sorensen and Eberflus were unemployed, all the other ones are promotions.

Well Eberflus had been fired from his last gig so he’s free. Sorensen was the same I believe. The OL coach and DL coach were promotions for them. Sooo, not really sure what you’re talking about.

I’ve always heard that he’s a terrible interview and that’s a big reason why he never got a HC job. That and the fact that Andy Reid calls the plays in KC. Then there’s the DV stuff in his history.

Ya news just broke in the Raiders discord, I *think* this is a good thing?

There's differing opinions so far.

Not sure how to feel about that one...I'm surprised Pete even went in that direction.

1. I despise the guy (Duck).
2. He was such an abject failure previously.

He hasn't failed as an NFL OC yet. I think it could work.

Raiders bringing 2014 back, what could go wrong?

Some guys are just better suited for the college game.

I am sure if he is still great at college game either. UCLA wasnt that good and Ohio State offensive talent last year was better than half the NFL teams.

After I get done trying to block all the ads that are making it slow and unfun to post even after I had already blocked them, I shall then ask if I should be thrilled (or at least satisfied and optimistic) about the Texans hiring Nick Caley as their new OC, and if so, why?

I'm not familiar with him other than he comes from the Rams/McVay.
