I saw you in the nba thread. You better be careful up there buddy. They don’t mess around like we do down here.

The only person in there I really chat with is Bisme. He's a die hard Celtics fan like me. I noticed last year during the playoffs how rough it gets. Mods were dishing out all kinds of warnings. At times it was brutal when certain fan bases were going at it.

Bisme is the man! Love that dude

Washington is the better team, but Atlanta is playing so hard tonight.

The penalties are not helping either.

When was he awful during the game...the pick? Yes that was a bad read pass in only his 2nd ever start but more importantly he showed clutch under pressure to tie the game up near the end. He drove the ball down again for the winning fg that was barely short and never got the ball back in OT. He has the IT factor as the Falcons finally found their franchise QB to replace Matty Ice.

I also had him as the 2nd best QB prospect behind Daniels before the draft. Didn't think Caleb nor the other QB will be as good as these two. Now Pickett was awful against Dallas but when we have a 2000 yard MVP RB with a dominating o-line, it covers all his flaws. I saw this from watching most of the game instead of looking at the final score to think he was good which is probably what you did to post "Penix is awful"? Maybe you don't know the difference between a good qb from a bad one.

Odd scheduling by the NFL to put the Ravens on at 430 Saturday. If they win, the Steelers can't win the division and play after them at 8.

With 35 touchdowns. I know he's in an incredible situation with our coaching and skill players, but I am absolutely flabbergasted he's been this good.

Ya he’s having the best QB season for a Vikings player since Culpepper 20 years ago.
.

2009 Favre is right with him. I was thinking that the top 4 QB seasons I've seen on the VIkings are 98 Cunningham, 2005 Culpepper, 2009 Favre and 2024 Darnold. The previous 3 guys completely washed out the next season. One reason I'd be hesitant to trade McCarthy and go all in on Darnold during the offseason.

Am I crazy or does Penix have some Jameis in him? He's pretty reckless with the ball. I can see him throwing for 40 TD's and also throwing 30 picks

Didn't the NFL used to do all of Week 18 either 1pm or 4pm games? I don't recall them having Saturday games or SNF games in the past so things were level.

I am not for sure. Would've made more sense to have the Bengals, Dolphins, and Broncos play the same time too. Although a Bengals loss does nothing to the Broncos and Dolphins.

Dolphins and Jets kicking off at 4:25 just to match the Broncos was odd but I guess they couldn't have an 11am kick in Denver, so make the Eastcoast teams play later on Sunday.

I remember that, I'm not sure how long they did it for though. I also remember a pretty classic Sunday night game between Seattle and San Fran on the last night of the season a few years ago.

2-10 on 3rd down is pretty awful, killing drives early so that the Commanders have 41 minutes of possession, thus weakening the Falcons' defense.

He's a rookie and should get better over time, but him throwing one TD and converting on one 4th down doesn't take away from how poorly he played overall last night.

You would want a more polished decision maker if you are going to draft a rookie this old.

Idk he doesn't seem like a super accurate mid range thrower which is an issue for me also. He also has a very long throwing motion. Compare him to Daniels and it's night & day.

If I remember correctly last couple years they've been flexing a game between two teams with playoff implications, last year Buffalo and Miami played and winner ended up second seed, loser 6th.

Interesting takes.

He missed a few throws last night. But he brought them back & they nearly won. He has a bright future. The Falcons made the right decision.

Honestly, there aren't many people on the planet who can throw it better. Some of those throws last night, were absolute dots. Including the clutch game tying touchdown to send it to OT.

Teams like the Giants & Titans probably already regret having passed on him.

WentzerWuver is right on the money.
