When was he awful during the game...the pick? Yes that was a bad read pass in only his 2nd ever start but more importantly he showed clutch under pressure to tie the game up near the end. He drove the ball down again for the winning fg that was barely short and never got the ball back in OT. He has the IT factor as the Falcons finally found their franchise QB to replace Matty Ice.
https://youtube.com/shorts/rOlTc0y5tjU?si=mMNY4xMZHh1ofIS7I also had him as the 2nd best QB prospect behind Daniels before the draft. Didn't think Caleb nor the other QB will be as good as these two. Now Pickett was awful against Dallas but when we have a 2000 yard MVP RB with a dominating o-line, it covers all his flaws. I saw this from watching most of the game instead of looking at the final score to think he was good which is probably what you did to post "Penix is awful"? Maybe you don't know the difference between a good qb from a bad one.
Am I crazy or does Penix have some Jameis in him? He's pretty reckless with the ball. I can see him throwing for 40 TD's and also throwing 30 picks
Interesting takes.
He missed a few throws last night. But he brought them back & they nearly won. He has a bright future. The Falcons made the right decision.
Honestly, there aren't many people on the planet who can throw it better. Some of those throws last night, were absolute dots. Including the clutch game tying touchdown to send it to OT.
Teams like the Giants & Titans probably already regret having passed on him.
WentzerWuver is right on the money.
