With the "OP", you have the option of starting a 2nd QB or any offensive player of your choosing. Most will likely want to start 2 QB's each week. But just a reminder that this is a 12 team league. So QB's might be harder to come by.

Roster
QB
RB (2)
WR (2)
TE
Flex
OP (1 Offensive starter)
DP (1 Defensive starter)
D/ST
K

Bench (7)
IR (2)

Since when did we go to a 12 team league. I didn't sign up for that.

I know, it's more competitive, but you can do it! I believe in you with all your expert fantasy history.

I think most people will want to stick with traditional waivers. But, I will get a poll up & running....

How do you bid on players? Do we have a pool of money or something?

Essentially yes. The way I understand the rules is that everyone operates with a budget (pool). The highest bidder (each week) claims the player & that "money" is subtracted from that owners budget. Obviously Mamba can explain it in greater detail. But that is my limited knowledge on how it would work.

Fwiw there is an option of having all Free agents essentially be subject to an Auction Waiver period (Bidding). But once the Waiver period has passed (without a claim), then that player is essentially a free agent & then can be picked up without having to make a bid.

I hope that helps. But again, I have a feeling most will want to stick with the status quo. But it's a legit proposal.

Just for that I'm going to change my team name and take Jwise (my ex lover) off the hook,

Yup that's exactly how it works.

The default budget is $100, but the commissioner can adjust the budget as they see fit.

Bids are blind, so other managers can't see how much your bid is.
The highest bid at the end of the waiver period wins the player.
The minimum bid on any player is $0.

Really curious to know why people prefer traditional waivers. Are you guys just scared to try something new and improved?

All Jack would have to do is transfer our league to Yahoo and set up a custom league,

We can still create a custom league in Yahoo. With private invitations of only the guys in here. But first we would have to find out if there are at least 10 of us in here who would want to play for $50.00 or a $100.00. Could also create a 8 team league if we had to.

I would be down. Just to clarify, the money is held in escrow at Yahoo correct? If so, do you want me to initiate interest or do you want too?

Yes, that is correct. Go ahead. Find out what the guys want to do. Maybe we will do both leagues, wtf !!!!

If anyone is interested in a $50 yahoo league please PM me. If we have enough interest, I'll create the league and a separate thread so we don't hijack this leagues' thread....

I am fine switching my vote to auction waivers. I just didn't know how it worked. It makes sense if someone has a major injury, that they could bid a lot to get a guy they really need. Switching would make it tied 3-3. Cactus Jack, you can change the poll to "Able to change vote."

I’m in, but what price usually wins a player? I’ve never done it so I feel like its gonna screw some of us over BAD by over bidding/under bidding the first half of the season cause we don’t have the hang of it

Might also be good to change poll to where you can only vote for one option instead of two.
