Lamar's best playoff game was a week ago, against Pittsburgh.
When he threw for a grand total of 175 yards, against a severely overmatched team? Not that impressed.
Again, if these are the kinds of signature playoff performances for Lamar that we have, then it's really not much is it?
I have to bring it back to Jalen Hurts. He played better in that SB two years ago than Lamar has ever played in the playoffs. Numbers wise, I don't think you'll find a big difference between the two in their playoff performances. And we all acknowledge that Lamar is a better player than Hurts. He's got 2 MVPs, maybe a 3rd, to 0 for Hurts. And yet, there's WAY more criticism of Hurts than there is of Lamar. Why the higher standards for someone we all acknowledge isn't even as good?
Lamar has been a Jalen Hurts level player come playoff time, except without the team success and without the signature performances, like Hurts in the SB. If that's the expectation of him, cool. I figured the expectations are more than that.
