I think Bill Barnwell had a good article on this, team record in one score games is the biggest indicator of performance next year. If your record in one score games is very good you are likely to decline and vice versa. Much of it comes down to bounce of the ball.

I hope that is true for the Cheifs, 10 of their 15 wins were by 1 score in 2024.

Some i interesting proposals for Rule Changes. A couple are....seeding. Top 1 gets 1 seed. After that, everyone falls on record. Second interesting proposal for me is by the Steelers. Opening up negotiation Time on free agents. This is interesting because of Cousins last year and Darnold this year. Obviously there was tampering, but instead of everyone knowing but not saying anything, at least it's out in the Open and everyone gets opportunity

Why is Russell still playing? He's going to turn 37 in October and playing for $21 million? It can't be money, he has plenty and is it worth risking health for only $21 million?

He has no chance to win, the Giants are going to finish at the bottom of the division if not the conference.

Is he hoping to improve his legacy, add stats to it? Maybe if Giants win 9 or 10 games, it burnishes his rep somehow?

Look at one-season wonders like Culpepper or Randall Cunningham. I don't think either are in the HoF nor do people remember their careers that much.

So he could have a very good season for the Giants -- very unlikely -- but it won't change the narrative on him that much.
