The league is filled, I think. 12 teams. No more open spots.

It's currently full with 12. Maybe if you ask nicely, Bdub or Blue will add-on & send you an invite.

Sorry Ernie, I would actually really like to have you in the league. We're full and set to draft though, I think it's probably too late at this point :(

No worries, looks like everyone has confirmed and we're set for tomorrow (today for you east coasters) at 6 Eastern. It may be a good idea to go to the league page and look at how the scoring and the positions will be done, and bw added a "league managers note" which will be helpful to read before drafting.

I've also found a few different cheat sheets for individual defensive players, here's one from ESPN.

http://www.espn.com/fantasy/football/story/_/id/15499951/fantasy-football-idp-rankings-2016-espn-nfl-ranks-defensive-linemen-linebackers-defensive-backs-rookies

Hope everyone shows up and brings their A-game!

Re: RealGM Fantasy Football League: DRAFT TIME SET, Sunday 8/28 6pm ET it is!

We are all set then!

Next question. Over the years I have realized, the more playoff teams the better, because it keeps people vested for longer. When people give up due to a bad start, it gives people that haven't played them yet an unfair advantage. So the more people interested the longer into the season and even into the playoffs the better.

Here are what I think the best choices are:

Everyone makes the playoffs. Now this at first thought seems ridiculous but everyone will be playing for longer. In this scenario, the top 4 would get byes, so they get a reward, and 5 would play 12, 6 vs 11, etc, and the four bye participants get the winners.

Second choice...10 make it...then you get the two worst or people who simply didn't show up or whatever (I don't think that will be the case with this league) don't make it, but regardless, it likely keeps everyone vested until the very end, so no one playing a team that seems clearly out of it (with fewer playoff teams) benefits because they don't tune in and change their lineup or leave injured guys in. The only weird thing about this one is that six people get byes, and the bottom four who made it battle to cut it to 8 for matchups.

'Third choice...six make it. That seems reasonable, but half are out, but top two get byes and the other 4 battle to play the two bye participants...but, again, this allows even more teams, if they are out of it, to simply give up and make people battling for the 6th spot mad when the other guy plays someone not showing up.

With eight teams, no one gets a bye. It seems like a good number, but no one gets a benefit from doing well in the season other than playing a lower seeded team and the 1 seed could get knocked out in the first weekend.

What do you think? Personally I think I like the idea of everyone making it....like we are playing the season for seeding in a tourney, and the top 4 get byes. No one will give up or leave in that circumstance so it makes it more competitive.

That's fine with me too.

And are we doing 90 second for the whole draft?

Well hopefully it doesn't take anyone that long normally and they work their queue and draft immediately but if people leave it will default to immediate auto picks (after one missed pick).

We'd like to shorten it for the later rounds but that option isn't available. We talked about shortening it but the options were not good, like 30 seconds.
