Because you don't like the pick? Obviously SF probably made them think they have other offers so then it comes down to how bad you want the guy and how scared you are someone else will trade there to get him if you don't.

The Niners bent them over. They got extra picks in the deal & get their guy at 3. Trubisky is a risky pick. Chicago panicked.

Trubisky has a higher ceiling and I think Chicago is banking on that.

Just my opinion. Maybe Trubisky turns out to be good. But, he was projected to be a late 1st & rose quickly.
