The highest bidder (each week) claims the player & that "money" is subtracted from that owners budget. Obviously Mamba can explain it in greater detail. But that is my limited knowledge on how it would work.
Fwiw there is an option of having all Free agents essentially be subject to an Auction Waiver period (Bidding). But once the Waiver period has passed (without a claim), then that player is essentially a free agent & then can be picked up without having to make a bid.
I hope that helps. But again, I have a feeling most will want to stick with the status quo. But it's a legit proposal.
Yup that's exactly how it works.
The default budget is $100, but the commissioner can adjust the budget as they see fit.
Bids are blind, so other managers can't see how much your bid is.
The highest bid at the end of the waiver period wins the player.
The minimum bid on any player is $0.
I’m in, but what price usually wins a player? I’ve never done it so I feel like its gonna screw some of us over BAD by over bidding/under bidding the first half of the season cause we don’t have the hang of it
You really gotta feel the league out. I've been in leagues with really aggressive bidders and I've been in leagues with guys who save their faab likes its real money. A good rule of thumb is to have some faab left over for the playoffs just in case you need an emergency pickup.
