Other than Atlanta (Boley) every team those guys play on is better than the Bears this year too. I just dont get it.

Not really trying to say Briggs really deserved it but he did miss a game and a half.

Play the Pro Bowl during the Super Bowl bye week. Have all the players playing in the Super Bowl not attend the Pro Bowl.
Problem solved.

I don't think Ogden deserved to be there, but everyone pencils him in by default. It's a shame Fred Taylor, Mario and Trent Cole are not going. Once again, it's a popularity contest.
First the federal government borrowed money; then gave the money to Bank of America; then I borrowed some of that money from Bank of America and gave it to the federal government; then the federal government gave the money back to Bank of America.

No one on that D-Line deserved to go. I live in the heart of Viking country and watch each of their games. Their own media and fans have called the defensive tackles rather large underachievers, Kevin Williams in particular.

I really disagree. It's impossible to be as dominant against the run as the Vikings are without your DT's playing well. Kevin Williams gets criticized because his sack numbers are down but I still think he's played at a pro bowl level. He's had 2-3 games where he's been great and he's always good.

Well LaRon Landry is already the best SS in the NFC already Adrian Wilson. I don't think anyone would take Roman Harper, Michael Lewis, Atari Bigby or those other guys over Landry or Wilson/

If you believe he is better than Wilson, you are a tool. Or an extreme blinded homer one or the other.

Denver had 1, which was Champ, which is by far his worst year the last three years. Nobody on the team really deserves it. Marshall I guess could be a fill in for injury. He probably wouldn't get it, he put up similar numbers to Chad Johnson so name recognition>everything else. Marshall will be there next year, along with Cutler. Hopfully, Champ can get back to his defensive player of the year(that he was robbed of last year) style of play.

Thoughts:

-why the **** isnt wes welker in the pro bowl. isnt he leading the league in receptions?
-why the hell is marion barber in?
-poor fred taylor
-why the hell is matt light in the pro bowl, can we swap him for welker?
-LOGAN MANKINS
-Vince Wilfork, finally.
-Ty Warren was borderline, cudda gone either way. not really a snub tho
-Someday, some damn day, Karlos Dansby is going to make the pro bowl. If only he and andre wilson werent stuck in arizona..
-Adalius thomas is probably the pats defensive MVP this year. But didnt make the pro bowl cos he doesnt have the stats.
-No larry izzo?
-Asante deserves it. I really really doubt the pats are going to have him back next year. I wonder if theres any corner out there the pats have their eye on that they want to trade for.

sidenote:

what corners are f.as next year. we're going to need one after asante signs for 80 million with the boys next year. Isnt Marcus Trufant?

Karlos Dansby is a f.a next year i believe, and if the pats somehow sign him i will throw up from happiness.

4.9 ypc (6th in the league, 3rd if you count guys with 150 carries or more)
9 rushing TDs (5th in the league)
9th in the NFL total TDs (Receiving/Rushing)

Youre admittedly bias against Dallas but its pretty obvious Barber deserves to go.

Why doesn't MBIII start for the Cowboys, in every game I've seen he's looked a lot better than Julius Jones.

dont get me wrong, i love barber and some players on dallas, but i dont care for the team yeah.

its just weird that a guy who probably wont get 1000 yards rushing will be in the pro bowl.

I think he'll get it. Maybe barely though. He needs 129 in the next 2 games. I wouldnt be surprised to see him get 100 or more against Carolina. I think the Cowboys will get a big lead and thus end up running to take time off the clock. He just hasnt had the carries the past couple weeks.

I think they just feel sorry for Julius so they let him start for a few carries to make him feel better. Thats about as good as any reason i can think of. I mean its pretty obvious Julius isnt useful and its time to just let that go. That will have to wait until the offseason when he's a FA though.

Looks like Fred Taylor will make it after all due to Willie Parker breaking his fibula in tonights game.

Yeah, barring a major lapse in judgement, Fred Taylor should make his first pro-bowl.

It also sounded like during the broadcast, if he hadn't gotten injured Parker was talking about letting Fred take his spot anyways (apparently they're good friends and work out together during the offseason) . But we wont know now.
