In a three team trade with the Lions and Broncos. Looks like the Lions got Scheffler and the Broncos get pick #137.

Quite excited by that.! I liked ernie..but why so cheap since he still young?!?!since you are a Lions fan (correct?) Icness, any feedback on the deal?!

I was on the Lions board earlier. They all basically said the same thing about Sims not really fitting their current system. They talked about how fast he was and how aggressive he attacks ball carriers. But sometimes he was overly aggressive and took bad angles. The important thing is that he is a perfect fit for the Eagles defense.

Sims will be fine if the DL can keep blockers off him. I'm not sure how well he fits in Philly though, because they ask their OLBs to do two things: blitz and cover. Sims can do neither. IMO he'll play 1st and 2nd down and help against the run, then leave the field for Jordan on 3rd/passing downs. I can't express to you how terrible Sims is in coverage--he completely lacks patience and focus.

Love the deal for Sheffler, who fills the role as move TE and offers more receiving skills than Will Heller or Casey Fitzsimmons (who retired). He and Pettigrew as a 2TE set with Calvin Johnson and Nate Burlseon outside, that's an attractive base package...if they can get a RB better than Mo Morris.

One Broncos insider I know insists this deal means they are going to trade for Greg Olsen from CHI. I couldn't tell you if that's got any chance of happening though--CHI is being unusually tight-lipped this year.

quite disappointed with his inability to cover. I always thought with his speed he should be a good cover LB..guess not.
Not surprised with his lack of blitzing ability. I actually do not mind Jordan and thought he played well when he was healthy. and thought we needed a better SLB and Bradley back to his best.

If denver could land Greg Olsen that would be huge to boost there passing game which obv lost Marshal. But Olsen would step in and IMO produce for the Broncos
