http://news.lalate.com/2010/08/19/antonio-cromartie-reveals-seven-kids-with-six-mothers-in-five-states/

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Antonio Cromartie’s seven kids with six mothers in five states was the subject of news after Monday Night Football this week and HBO’s Hard Knocks.

The NY Post wrote after Monday’s game “Cromartie, the father of the bump-and-run off the field, provides a roll call of his seven children, which includes a trio of 3-year-olds, from six different mothers.” In March the paper claimed that the Jets had to front $500,000 of her $1.7 million salary this year to “clean up his lingering paternity issues”. The Jets would not confirm nor deny the report. The Paper indicated that players don’t get their salary checks until the first week of the regular season.

Cromartie, 25, is entering his final year of a five year $12 million contract. In March, before a court date in California, Antonio admitting the challenge in parenting he faces. “I have seven kids in five different states. I made some wrong decisions my first two years in the NFL, and now I have to take that responsibility to be a father. I need to deal with my kids and child-support issues. Those things are being taken care of. I’m going to be the best father to them that I can.”

If the jets passing attack can be half as potent as Cromarties semen then the Jets will be super bowl favorites.

One of the best moments in Hard Knocks history. I literally spit out my Diet Cola all over my Blackberry.

He has 4 kids that are the age of 3.

This is news? I thought everyone knew of this awhile ago. Like he said, he made mistakes, but he's taking care of his kids. There are worse things these players could do besides have kids.

That he couldn't name all of his kids? No, that wasn't known. It might have been assumed though.

Cromartie should probably stay away from HBO. Florida St. (where he played his college ball) was featured in a story on HBO's Real Sports about athletes getting into college with 4th or 5th grade reading skills. Guess who was the focus of this story? None other than Antonio Cromartie who was almost laughed out of one of his classes by his fellow students because he was basically illiterate.
