Cleveland fans have been through a lot within the last year. I think we need to leave them alone.

Who's in favor of a 3 year grace period for the city? Thus allowing certain obnoxious behavior such as obscenity shouting, jersey burning, rioting, punching and tackling (including 8 year olds). I think it would be good for their mental health.

A 3-year grace period for what? So they can assault small boys in the parking lot after games? Pass. How hard is to follow the golden rule and not be a drunken douche bag?

///

Unfortunately, stuff like this isn't all that common.

I remember going to a Vikings game in Denver about 12 years ago, with my Moss jersey on. Had a great time, sat next to some older season ticket holders who were totally cool and the Vikings won on the last play.

Then came the trip out of Mile High. Just a mess of drunken anger. I didn't say anything to anybody, or even make eye contact if I could help it, and I had about two or three guys try to start something.

One guy caught my eye and started yelling, "Where's your Super Bowl? Where's your Super Bowl?"

So from my standpoint, the modern stadium experience, if you've gone to enough games, is totally overrated. Parking, ridiculous costs, and then you have to risk an ass-kicking if you get caught in the wrong place at the right time.

A couch and a nice HDTV sounds much, much better to me.

You poke at the angry dog, you gotta expect to get bit. It's a bit crude to swipe at an 8-year old, but obnoxious kids + drunk, angry adults = trouble.

Reminds me of the way I was treated in Chicago at a Bulls/Cavs game in Lebron's rookie year. I'm all geared up in Cavs stuff and I was spit at (he missed), cursed at, intentionally tripped, had three separate drinks "accidentally" spilled on me, and every time I called an usher--and finally the police--they told me to "deal with it". At least half my section was over the legal limit. I contacted the Bulls after the game and they offered me free seats for another game. Like I'm going to go back to that...:nonono:
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

neither a Jets nor a Browns fan

but am guessing the guy who tackled the kid best sell his house and start learning Aussie Football rules

dudes life is most likely in danger, no doubt crazy Jets fans are searching high and low for him

After a quick search

didn't take long to find that type of thinking

" I would make it my mission to murder the next disorderly fan I saw if someone ever ..."

Kinda shocking to me as a Bulls fan. I'm surprised the people that go to the UC would divert their attention from their business dealings or chants for a $2 McDonald's burger long enough to do any of the the above to you. Color me impressed.
