Well according to football outsiders it is.

Before today's game, here are the DVOA for both teams (both of these are the highest of all-time, and this years is going to improve a lot after today's game)

'07 Patriots - 45.2%
'10 Patriots - 48.3%

http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teamoff2007

'07 Patriots - 36.8 ppg, 411.3 ypg, 48.2% 3rd down, 16 turnovers (+16differential), 12 30+ point games
'10 Patriots - 32.0 ppg, 355.0 ypg, 47.9% 3rd down, 9 turnovers (+27differential), 11 30+ point games

I dont know if its "better".. Buts its more impressive when considering what the overall offese consists of, and the kind of defensive competition they have played. As opposed to the 2007 team.

Regardless of whatever the metrics say, the 07 offense (and team for that matter) is better then the '10 team. I still believe the 07 Patriots are the best team this decade, even though they lost. That said, it is amazing how good the current team is given the talent difference and youth compared to the 07 team.

What makes this Patriots offense comparable to the '07 one is the fact that this team NEVER, I repeat NEVER turns the ball over. They aren't as explosive but they are just smart, protect the ball and get the ball in the hands of their playmakers.

I read something the other day that said BenJarvus Green-Ellis has never fumbled. Not Pros. Not College. Not highschool. NEVER. ridiculous.

What Brady's doing now is more impressive than what he did in 07 IMO, but I think 07 Pats with Moss still had better offense.

the difference is randy moss. i believe they went deep heavy and often in those days. currently, they are goin short and technically scheming the short game with great execution.

secondly, the difference is the new orleans saints. this is a copy-cat league. and they have picked up on the multiple package schemes of the new orleans saints and using it with great effectiveness.

they have used that little scatback woodhead, not like the back he replaced, but moreso like a reggie bush type player.

I'd rather have the 2010 chop and dice style offense than the 2007 long bombing. Relying on the big play is like relying on 3s in basketball. I'd rather have teams that pound it inside and get ugly points. In 07 teams started figuring out how to stop the Brady Moss big play whereas the 10 version is just unstoppable

well, in fairness to that 07 team, and those patriot fans who may favor that team . . . they only had 1 team that "stopped" them.

Moss was invisible the other two playoff games and was more inconsistent the 2nd half of the season in general, to go along with the Pats ppg falling from 41 to 29ppg from the Philly game on. This year's Pats in comparison are scoring 39ppg from about the same 10-11th week period in the season. And they're helping themselves defensively by not giving up any turnovers + taking more time up offensively. You can make the case the 39ppg the last 7 games is more impressive than the 41ppg the first 10 games for the 07 Pats, for that reason, even if it doesn't seem as flashy.

I think this pretty much sums it up.

Seriously, every team needs to copy what the patriots are doing in terms of building a franchise.

If every team could draft a possible GOAT in the sixth round, trust me they would. It's not that easy.
