Here are the references that appeared in a transcript of Welker's remarks, sent to the media by the Patriots' media relations department:
In response to a question about Tom Brady's leadership in intensely-competed games: "It goes without saying, the guy is who he is and he does a great job of making sure everyone is on the same page and putting their best foot forward going out there and playing well and doing what they can out there."
In response to a question about what younger players can expect in playoff games:
"It's a playoff atmosphere and you can't just stick your toe in the water, you've got to jump right in and make sure you're ready to go and make things happen."
In response to a question about his injury-related inactivity in last year's playoffs:
"It is definitely a little bit different especially (last year) I had my foot up in the air trying to get the swelling to go down and things like that."
Asked if he was eager to play in a playoff game for the first time since Super Bowl XLII:
"This is what you spend all year getting ready for and you want to go out there and put your best foot forward."
In response to a question about Jets' cornerback Darrelle Revis:
"He's got great feet, he moves around well and does some good things out there (Welker also added a "good feet" comment in a follow-up question about Revis)."
In response to a question about the merits of teammate Deion Branch:
"He is another guy with great feet and he can really move around and do some great things out there."
In response to a question about how the Patriots approached practice during the bye week:
"You want to make sure that you are putting your best foot forward out there and making it happen."
In response about how the playoff atmosphere intensifies practice:
"We're really moving forward and we're going out there being good little foot soldiers."
Finally, in response to a question about how the Patriots need to focus in order to contend with variations in the Jets' approach to the game:
"You definitely have to be on your toes and make sure that you're ready to go."

Man, watch the video, he's so deadpan, it's so great. How do you not crack one smile during that?

Does Rex Ryan know the definition of "personal"? Seems like he uses the word for everything. He called the foot fetish videos a "personal matter" that he refused to talk about. Now all the games with Indy and New England are "personal", but he's talking about it nonstop. I don't get it. Does he even know what's coming out of his mouth?

Re: Wes Welker taking shots at Rex Ryan
It is a huge misconception that the patriots aren't funny. They really are. For example:
(These are Belicheck quotes)
On Branch's game vs B-More:
"He got open and caught some balls. Let's not make it too complicated."
On a reporter asking BB today if he scouted Danny Woodhead before he arrived:
Belichick: "How do you think he got here? Parachuted in?"
Bill Belichick: (On the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show featuring Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction) We didn't see [it]. We were in the locker room... Nobody kept us abreast of that.
Felger started his question, "Correct me if I'm wrong," BB quickly interjected, "I can't wait--"
On the San Diego Game:
"This is a business trip. We're not going out there to... you know... visit the San Diego Zoo."
On injury timelines:
Belichick cracks, "Next time you get a cold, I'll ask you exactly what date you'll be feeling better, how would you like that?"
“Stats are for losers,” Belichick said then. “The final score is for winners.”
Belichick on Holmes' advice to not put a rookie on him: "I'm sure he'd be a good coach some day."
As BB press conference neared end, locker room opened. Reporters bolted. "Don't pull a hamstring getting out of here," Belichick cracked.
Q: What did you do yesterday as coaches?
BB: Oh, we played golf - golf, bowling, a little badminton tournament, ate some watermelon, played cards.
Q: That sounds relaxing.
BB: Yeah, it was nice.
Q: Did you get ready for the Jets?
BB: Totally about the Jets, other than the pony rides and canoeing.

This is my personal favorite.
I gotta admit I used to not really be a fan of Belichick, but the more I hear him talk the more I like him.

Bart Scott fired back by threatening Wes Welkers career.

Scott told Roderick Boone of Newsday: "Be very careful what you say about our coach. His [Welker's] days in a uniform will be numbered. Put it like that."

I know it's hard to imagine, but people absolutely adore him up here in New England.

According to Peter King of Sports Illustrated, NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Ray Anderson contacted all remaining playoff teams late this week, warning them against further trash talking.
ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter also reported that Anderson told teams that past comments would be considered if the league was to discipline a player for his actions in this weekend's playoff games.
Pretty stupid of Scott to make a comment like that, now the referees are almost guaranteed to scrutinize any hard hits he puts on Welker a little bit more.
Not to mention he totally overreacted to a pretty tame joke made in response to Bart's teammates and coach acting like total dips***s.
