There were talk that Peyton Manning was set to be made as the highest paid player in NFL history. But instead he was tagged and it would have to wait for another season. Is this considered disrespectful? and to what extent? I know for sure Peyton doesn't like it and would prefer the long term security. and how much of the possible lock played into this?

Peyton is 34 years old and has played 13 seasons. Last season he went on a little slump nothing we haven't seen before. Are the colts afraid of committing to Peyton due to age? If the talent around indianapolis doesn't improve and with the fact he was franchised, could we actually see peyton getting lured into a different city?

or nothing lol?

To answer all of your questions.

No. To no extent, he is making 23 million dollars. I doubt Peyton cares much, he has made a ton of money already and the team is still looking to lock him down long-term, this just extends the negotiation window.

No. Definitely not.

Yes, this is nothing.

well the way i see it, why not do it now? If a team is looking to keep me long term why wait for a year to see if i get injured or if i decline right?

but your probably right, its probably just nothing.
