NFL team in Toronto

I was just looking through the team boards, and noticed you don't have a Toronto board... :-?

but seriously, Toronto is the 4th biggest market in North America. There is also a ready stadium waiting for a team (Rogers Center). Also there are more than enough big time investors with money lobbying for a team in the city...... The Buffalo Bills have already tested the fan base, with odd games held at the Rogers Center in Toronto.

Whats the wait?

How can the NFL walk away from such an investment. A team in Toronto would be the same as pulling the whole of Canada to NFL fan base.

Either the Bills move to Toronto or they don't get a team (at least not for a long time). Seems like Goodell more interested in London anyways.

I really don't think the Rogers Center is a sufficient venue for NFL football, should a franchise ever move here.

This too. It would be the smallest stadium capacity wise by 7,500.

Agreed. Its way too small.

I'm sure the city could support a team but there are better options out there right now.

You mean the crappy football league? Yeah it would kill the Argos but they are bad all on their own. I doubt Toronto gets a team before LA and other larger US markets. The experiment was a success to a degree but I don't think the Rogers Centre is that well equipped for a full time NFL schedule and is really a "good surface" to play on. We would have to get something better and build our own stadium

2009 was the year when NFL fans had to make do watching football without the guttural tones of the great John Madden describing the action. Thanks to the likes of Payton Manning, Tom Brady and Drew Brees the NFL is stocked with what can only be described as a vintage age of great NFL Quarterbacks.
