Colts rebuilding?

With the possible departure of Manning, is anyone else on the trading block?

Is Freeney the next to go?

When Manning miss the entire season, the offense suffer. What was surprising how much the defense and the special teams got worse as well. Freeney could net two first from the Patriots, draft picks from the Packers, Jets, and the Saints. All veteran teams that could use a boost in their pass rush.

Both Wayne and Garcon are free agents, will the Colts spend the money? Dallas Clark could also be gone and the offensive line needs to be rebuild. And the running backs have under preformed.

Defensively all areas need an upgrade.

Is anyone safe?

I think the Colts will be willing to trade anyone as long as they receive a good return.

I saw the Colts Jet at the Ft. Lauderdale, FL airport this past Monday (23rd). I wonder why it was there.

Freeney is 31 years old. I don't know if Belichick is willing to part with two first round picks for him.

The highest pick I think BB traded for a player was a 2nd rounder (? maybe 3rd) for Corey Dillon. I don't see him trading away our picks for vetarans.

I'd love Freeney though, don't know how colts fans would feel about that.

Who I really want to see the pats go after is Wayne. This chad ochocinco thing has been a complete bust, I think cutting him and going after Brandon Lloyd or Wayne would be the way to go.

As for the colts side of things, I think Chuck Pagano is a good hire, and they'll rebuild around luck. It's the right move.

oh yeah, they also need to be careful and make sure to give luck weapons, you dont want to see what happened to bradford happen to luck if he gets no o line or recievers.

Eh I think to first founders for Freeney is asking a bit too much..I could see them getting maybe a first and third for him.

Good point ninja....bradford has virtually had no one..and never really had a chance to enjoy having Lloyd to throw too..

I dont see Freeney going anywhere unless the Colts switch to a 3-4, which I dont see happening. Garcon or Wayne will be re-signed for sure, likely Garcon. I think Mathis will get resigned. I think Brackett is gone, as we actually have solid linebackers. D-line is ok, not great. Secondary is in shambles outside of Bethea and Powers. I disagree with the OP about our RB's, they are proabably the only part of the team that doesnt need players, we just have never been a rushing team. Not sure about Clark, but we will see.

This team has some serious cap issues, it will definitely be interesting to see how it shakes out. To add fuel to the fire it appears Irsay and Manning may not be getting along. When Manning leaves I will seriously tear up.

A switch to the 3-4 defense doesn't necessarily guarantee that Freeney leaves the Colts. He can move to outside linebacker and pass rush from there.

I am no expert in the 3-4 since the Colts have always ran a 4-3, but I just dont see him there

The beauty of the 3-4 defense is that you can blitz one of the linebackers on every play. Kind of like what the Cowboys do with Ware. Freeney would be in a role similar to that. He'll be doing pass coverage minimally.

No, people were just saying he could be traded. Mathis is a FA though

And as far as freeney goes..he would play just like suggs...and I feel as if though since Freenet has.been around so long it would be a nice and smooth transition..only hang up would be the fact they dont have a true NT

Based on the defensive hirings thus far it appears the Colts will be switching to the 3-4, excited to see something new
