Where does manning land?

Post#1 » by ninjabelly » Fri Jan 27, 2012 3:46 am

I know i might be jumping the gun a bit, but all signs indicate he's gone soon, who do you think grabs him?
Ari? Mia? Was? NYJ?

personally i really hope he doesn't go to the cards, him and fitz would hurt us(niners).

I say..Washington probably a longshot but i think will look to flynn, ari will probably stick with Kolb, and i don't think the jets really have much to offer..

I hope Washington, but just to see both Mannings go at it twice a year. Though being a giants fan, Peyton joining our division is scary.

Then again, i still think he's going to retire.

If he's still going to play I think the Jets would make the most sense. With him they'd be instant contenders.

i dont get why age plays any part, assuming he heals up, at 34 he was playing at the highest level.

+1

I see alot of ppl and analyst saying Washington and Arizona, I dont think there is any way Peyton will agree to go to those teams.. Peyton dealt with so many bad defenses in Indy b/c that was the team he was drafted to and he loves the Colts,, I doubt he'd be willing to play for Arizona and have to worry about a defense again. The guy wants a chance at another championship....As for Washington, I dont see him going to Wash, with the lack of offensive weapons. I know they can add pieces, but I really believe Peyton Would rather go somewhere with a good amount of pieces already in place..

The Jets are a perfect fit. They are not the Defense they were 2 years ago, but thier better than any defense Peyton had in Indy. He wont have to worry about the Defense.. And he still has weapons on the offense. Dustin Keller, Holmes, Plax (or whomever he's replaced by). I have a feeling he ends up in Jets Green.

He's either going to play in Indy or he's going to retire.

I hope this is true, I really dont want his career to be over but it will kill me to see him in another uniform

Yeah, and I'm not saying this just because I don't want to see him in the the AFC East, but he should just retire.

If Manning was going to retire, it would have happened already. He wouldn't be going through all this media scrutiny just for the hell of it.

I dont think u are I think ur absolutely right he is gone this coming season b/c the Colts are due to give 28 Mill this coming season and I just dont see that happening and if the Jets are smart they will go after him but can u imagine the press coverage on that the 2 Mannings in NY the press would have a field day

Honestly, if he is healthy I think he should go to Denver. They got a good defense already and Elway is looking for a way to replace Tebow. I bet Peyton could do good things with that Broncos team.

Having Manning and Tebow on the same team would generate such a media circus. I think it would be better for everyone involved to avoid that.

With the way Smith played last year I can't really see them going out and replacing him now.
