What type of value do you think Carolina can acquire for Jonathan Stewart?

Well, Richardson is the only RB in the Draft with a 1st round grade. And the Patriots just lost the Law Firm to FA. Patriots own 2 late 1st rounders. The Panthers are not going to shop Stewart, but will listen if someone wants to talk and make an offer. As the Patriots and Panthers have done business before, have to think the Patriots might call on Carolina just to feel things out. Carolina needs the picks to fill in a few holes. And Stewart in the backfield will take a good bit of pressure off Brady. Stewart can run well, and he catches the ball well. Would be a good fit for NE.

Not sure what the value is in terms of return, but yes the pats have assets. Also, didn't the pats almost trade 2 second rounders last year for Williams? I think that's what Icness said. Wonder if they talk about this.

I hate losing Law-Firm. Ridley is a stud, but he fumbles. Danny "Woodcock" is good, but that's it. Vareen was injured all of last year.

Tolbert's running game is more similar to Stewart than to Williams, which is why Stewart is more likely to be dealt than Williams. Carolina will still have a good change of pace back to bring in. But Tolbert is not as explosive as Stewart. With NE having those two late 1sts and also a mid and late 2nd, I am sure the two sides could work out something. Like I said, Carolina needs the picks to add some young skill players, and Stewart seems made to order for Brady and the Pats offense. Add his running, blocking and pass catching ability to that offence, and Patriots will be as tough as ever.

Stewart will also be a free agent after next season which makes him expendable. Pats would be wise to trade a 2nd for him. I hear they are going hard for Matt Forte tho.

Pittsbrugh and Cleveland would both make a lot of sense. There is going to be the expectation of a contract extension with the trade, however, and that could make him hard to move.

this would be a good get if someone can get him on the cheap.

Also,runningbacks are freakin losing in value by the minute. theyre undervalued, high injury prone, dont last long . . .but a bad ass runningback can be the foundation of any offense aint hittin on on cylinders passing wise. teams that dont hit, can rely on it to get them back into a game or back into rhythm offensively. but sheesh, theyre treated like crap, and thats messed up. see matt forte
