The estranged wife of Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders was arrested Monday night after he accused her and a friend of assaulting him in front of his children.

The former Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys star posted on Twitter Monday night: "Pray for me and my kids now! They just witnessed their mother and a friend jump me in my room. She's going to jail n I'm pressing charges!"

Later he tweeted: "I'm sad my boys witnessed this mess but I warned the police department here that she was gone try n harm me and my boys. This is on my mama."

Pilar Sanders, 38, was booked into the Collin County, Texas, jail Monday night on a misdemeanor family violence charge, according to jail records. Bond was set at $264.

In an interview with Dallas television station KXAS, Sanders said "My kids, they are scared for their life. They just saw two women jump their dad in his own house, in his room. It's sad.

"I got locks on my doors right now," he said. "Is somebody going to have to die? Is it going to be me before the court does something and get this woman out of my house? It's absurd." http://www.ajc.com/sports/atlanta-falco ... 24841.html

Unfortunately, Primetime is creating a narrative for his ongoing divorce/child custody case, IMHO.

He's doing what a lot of people in that situation do.......try to paint the other person as violent & unable to care for the kids. He can now walk into court & show that she "attacked" him, while kicking her out of the house via a restraining order. Smart move, but dirty.

– A divorce attorney for the estranged wife of Deion Sanders has called her recent arrest following accusations that she attacked the Hall of Fame cornerback "a complete setup."

Pilar Sanders was arrested April 23 at the couple's home in Prosper, north of Dallas. Deion Sanders filed for divorce in December, but the pair still shared the home until the woman's arrest.

The former NFL star and Pilar Sanders were in a Collin County court Thursday for a hearing in the divorce case. Both want custody of their three children.

Larry Friedman, an attorney for Pilar Sanders, accused her husband of repeatedly calling Prosper police until they arrested her.

Rick Robertson, Deion Sanders' attorney, said Pilar Sanders wasn't fit to have custody of the children.

Deion Sanders gets temporary custody of children

A Texas judge ordered Deion Sanders' estranged wife on Monday to stay at least 500 yards away from the former NFL star's suburban Dallas home in a ruling stemming from a scuffle between the pair last month.

State District Judge Ray Wheless also gave the Hall of Famer temporary custody of the former couple's children pending a full custody hearing, and ordered that the children undergo psychological counseling.

Wheless ruled that the injuries to Pilar Sanders, which she alleged her husband inflicted during an April 23 scuffle at their $5.7 million home in Prospect, were a result of Deion Sanders defending himself from her assault. Wheless said that since Deion Sanders experienced no pain, it was only simple assault, which is punishable by a fine.

Following that altercation, Dion Sanders tweeted that she'd attacked him and he posted a photo of his children filling out police reports. He later removed the photo. http://www.ajc.com/sports/deion-sanders ... 33197.html
