Call a cab....
Receiver Justin Blackmon, picked fifth overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in April's draft, was arrested for aggravated DUI early Sunday in Stillwater, Okla.

The 22-year-old Blackmon was arrested by Stillwater police at 3 a.m. local time and later booked into the Payne County Jail on $1,000 bond, Payne County Sheriff Sgt. Brandon Ingham said. Blackmon remained in custody Sunday afternoon as officials awaited paperwork for his release.

A Monday arraignment was scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET.

Under Oklahoma law, a driver's blood alcohol level must be .15 or higher to be charged with aggravated DUI.

Jaguars spokesman Dan Edwards says the team is aware of the report and is gathering information.

The Tulsa World previously reported Blackmon's Sunday arrest.

It was the second DUI arrest for the former Oklahoma State star, who also was arrested in 2010 in Texas on a misdemeanor DUI charge. He was suspended one game by Oklahoma State as a result of that arrest.

The Jaguars traded up two spots to take the 6-foot-1, 207 pound Blackmon with the No. 5 pick in the 2012 draft, hoping to add a franchise receiver to an offense that ranked last in the league in 2011.

Blackmon caught 122 passes for 1,522 yards and 18 touchdowns for Oklahoma State last season. He had 111 receptions for 1,782 yards and 20 scores the previous year.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

Blackmon and Floyd like to hit the bottle and get behind the wheel. And Floyd came into OTAs and rookie camp a little heavy (Cardinals observers have hinted at). As a fan of the Bears who were left with Alshon Jeffrey in round 2, I feel relieved that he is not having these issues.

.24 is hardcore drunk. At his weight that's 15 beers in three hours. That's where there's no way anyone around him would have let him drive if they cared. He's lucky he only got busted and not killed.

He and Nick Fairley should be required to visit the morgue and stare at people killed by DUI for a few days. Freaking immature imbeciles.

Leading up to the Draft, I really wanted Blackmon for my Panthers. But if he is going to have these issues, glad he wont by in Carolina. 2x in a year, the kid has a problem. He's either going to have to walk away from the bottle, or he will find himself on Roger Goodell's list of suspended players.

How stupid do you have to be to be .24 drunk and then still decide to get in a car and drive. Wow.

If he would have hit and killed someone, his career would already be over and he would be facing 20+ years in prison, at .24 manslaughter would be guaranteed.

I'm a bit late on this, but the fans around Jacksonville were quite disappointed with this news. People were really hoping he turned the corner from his stupid decisions once he got drafted, but he hasn't.

It's a real shame, because this city really needs someone to look up to.

Hey Jeff,

Any truth to the rumor that Gene Smith didn't want Blackmon, and Kahn forced his hand??

Don't know for certain but that is not the way Gene Smith rolls. He is perfectly capable of making bad picks all on his own. I have heard that the new owner was more involved in the draft process than the staff was expecting, but he's not telling them who to pick.

Interesting, I ask because I'm fairly certain that Smith has never picked up a guy with character concerns before this, and then he takes one with his first pick the new owner is in town. You'd said something earlier about Khan being willing to create the team from "The Longest Yard" if it meant the team was winning, so I was curious.

You don't like Gene Smith much I take it??

Blackmon plays for the Jaguars. Bryant plays for the Cowboys. That should explain the attention paid.
