But you can't blame the guy for making a play on the ball. He made a clear INT.

The DB didn't do anything wrong. If the defender catches it, then this V is impossible.

Sure the DB catching the ball would have ended the game, but the easier play would be to just bat it down.
I do, however, understand that as a DB, your instincts tells you to catch the ball.
