they were talking on espn about the 3 major single season records that could be broken this year (sacks, receiving and rushing yards)
and both jerry rice and nate burleson think the receiving and rushing will fall (need 182 and 294 yards respectively) while the sacks (2 guys need 3.5) will hold up
what do you guys think?
calvin will get receiving i'd say, but i think the sacks could go down a lot easier than rushing 300 yards is a lot in two games, especially since there are two guys chasing it

Can't rule out sacks not being broken just for the fact the 49er's still play Arizona.

I'm looking for a Falcons win this Saturday. The team, the fans, and the city need it.
I also hope AP and Calvin will get their yardage.

It would be something for the rushing, receiving, and sack records to all be broken in the same season. Hell, the sack record could be broken twice.

AD has a legitimate shot. He's already ripped apart the Packers once this season I don't see why he cant do it again. Not a longshot for him to average 147 yards in each game considering that he's averaged 164.1 yards a game over the latest eight game stretch.
Calvin Johnson has averaged 119 receiving yards per game, so I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that he sets the mark.
I think the sack record will hold up though. I have a feeling one guy or both guys will end up a .5-1 sack short. That's just a hunch though.

How are the Falcons only a 1 point favorite against the Lions?

The Falcons are now a 4 point favorite.
The line that I posted for the contest was a VERY early line from an online book. I expected the Falcons to be favored by 4-6 points.

I forgot about the sack record.
It will for sure been an amazing season if all of those records end up being broken.

Terrelle Pryor will get some burn this Sunday against Carolina. I'm looking forward to see how he does and if he makes any impact at all.

I thought they moved the Falcons-Lions game to Monday night. Didn't even realize there was a game today.

Looks like Calvin is going to get the record tonight, 2000 yards looks very probably right now.

Lions have had a lousy season, but congratulations to Calvin Johnson, getting the all time receiving yards record from Jerry Rice with a game to spare. Amazing. The guy can be mentioned in the same breath as Barry Sanders for great Detroit players. He should get to 2000 against the bears. Hopefully he's a career Lion and hopefully Detroit can get enough talent around him to get him back in the playoffs.
