I really want the Vikings to win and make the playoffs, also rooting for the Redskins, and wanting The Seahawks to win the division.

AFC picture is set. NFC is still a mess.

-Green Bay would clinch the No. 2 seed and a bye with a win in Minnesota in Week 17.
-The Vikings are the No. 6 seed. They would be in with a win.
-The Bears would be in with a win over the Detroit Lions and a loss by the Vikings.
-New York can't win the NFC East. To get the wild card, the Giants need to win and hope the Cowboys, Vikings and Bears all lose.
-Winner of Washington Redskins. Dallas Cowboys wins NFC East.

Giants need way too much for a WC berth. I think the Slurs will win the division and I think the Lions can muster up enough to beat the Bears, but I don't think the Vikings will blow it to the Packers second stringers.

The Packers aren't going to play their second stringers. They're still going for a bye.

I see the Redskins winning, but I don't think there's anyway the Lions will beat the Bears. Detroit gave up on their season like 3 weeks ago.

Richard Sherman won his appeal, will be able to play. Seahawks dodged a major bullet. He's the best CB in the league this year.

How did he win his appeal, but his other CB buddy didn't?

Browner didn't appeal.

I hope so. The Bears need some help to get into the playoffs.

Dear Texans,

It'd be kind of cool if you guys showed up on Sunday!

Sincerely,

Home Field

My picks this week were straight team MVP and biggest surprises. Impossible to pick games Week 17. Tell me where I screwed up, because nobody ever tells anyone when they get something right 8-)

Hope you're wrong about the score of the Texans game. I do think that the team will show back up for this one. As for your MVP & Surprise:

Texans--MVP: JJ Watt. He just might be having the greatest season ever for a defensive lineman. For a 5-technique end to lead the league in sacks, tackles for loss, and rank in the top 10 in PDs, that’s unreal. He is the Defensive Player of the Year without question, and he sets the tone for the whole Bulls on Parade defense.

Biggest surprise: The resurgence of Andre Johnson. Like many, I thought the hobbled version that missed 12 games the last two years was going to be the norm for Johnson going forward. I certainly doubted he could top 100 catches and threaten 1500 yards (he sits at 1457) with no viable second option to ease pressure.

Spot-on accurate on both counts.

I really can't wait to get Cushing back for next season because we have really, really missed his presence on the Defense. He plays off of Watt very well.

This team has been owning divisional opponents, 13 wins in a row at the moment. Hopefully 14 at the end of Sunday, Go Pack!

Against the Cardinals...? If they don't win by 16 I'd be shocked.

I wouldn't be surprised if they go up by 10 or 14 and then rest their entire 1st string defense, imo. They have had so many injuries the last 3 weeks.
