I don't know if they're Super Bowl contenders but they're definitely not a team you'll want to face in the playoffs with that D and a QB in Newton who has proven he can deliver clutch drives against quality teams. I still think they're a tier below the Saints and Seahawks.

Child Pleeeze. Theyre overrated. Win 1 controversial game and all of the sudden, theyre fans come out of hiding. Theyre superbowl contenders. Theyre the best thing since sliced bread. Its like having only 1 post, and pretending you have something important to say. Pleeeze. Theyre barely hanging onto a playoff seed, like kuechly hanging onto gronks nuts.

they actually have 7 wins, 2 of them against contenders and practically gave away their other game against a contender. good running game and a top notch defense is a good start for a super bowl team. newton doesn't have to be world beater for them to be successful, just keep the mistakes minimum, keep the defenses opposing honest and defense will take care of the rest.

I like them as my dark horse.

KC held that title earlier in the season, but I'm not thrilled with their offense (Carolina's isn't great either, but Cam can certainly make plays)

Right now they are playing like a Top 5 team. And any of those have a shot at winning it all. Not saying they would be a favorite among the Top 5, but they would most definitely have a shot at winning the big one.

They have a great chance if Kuechly continues to get free reign in the endzone. I've seen it happen 3 times in the last 5 games.

Still not buying Newton as being a threat in the playoffs..

They've surprised a lot of people so far including me. They're defense is great and they can run the ball and those are two things that automatically make you a threat in the playoffs. Throw in a talented QB in Cam that can make big plays and you have a team that could do some serious damage in the playoffs.

I wanna see how Cam responds in his first playoff game. If he can play well and find a way to win then ill buy into it
