Cowboys and Browns mega trade!

DAL Trades: Tony Romo, Dez Bryant
CLE Trades: 2- 2014 First rounders, 2014 Second rounder 2-2014 third rounders
Browns fill their 2 biggest needs and with all-pro level players and quickly go from non contender to contenders. they are significantly under the cap to help absorb the cap hits for both players.
Cowboys, realize they are multiple pieces away from contending, (much to jerry's chagrin) decide to deal their 2 best playerers for multiple picks to improve many areas.

Beyond anything else, I'm not sure this is possible due to salary cap issues.

That's roughly what WASH gave up to get RG3 in the draft.
Browns would need to pony up way more than that, and lets be real, this will NEVER happen. Jerry is way too proud, and the fanbase would murder him.

yea, getting equal value is hard to determine.
cap hits are definitely an issue..cleveland is generously under the cap, and i thought you could help absorb another teams' hit is you had the room.
and yes, jerry is in his own world.....unfortunatley

As a Browns fan given Romo's age I don't think I'd do it. Browns have many needs(ILB, CB, offensive line being three) so I'd prefer to see them keep their picks. If anything, I'd prefer to see them add picks more than anything.

If I' the Browns sign me up, having Romo throw to Bryant, Gordon, and Cameron is a pretty awesome offense.

Then Romo will choke when it matters. The Browns deserve a Champion.

And I suppose it's also Romo's fault that the Boys defense gave up 27 points a game?
That being said, this trade is totally unrealistic on cap issues alone, and even if you ignored those I don't see Cleveland giving up all those picks for a QB in his 30's with a bad back. Gordon and Bryant would be pretty awesome to watch, though

This thread has got me thinking though...despite all the impossibility of this trade...how the Cowboys would draft if they figured out a way to pull this off. They'd have picks #4, 16, 26, 35, 47, 71, 78, 83 in just the first 3 rounds alone. EIGHT picks in the top 83, including 3 1st rounders. A lot of needs certainly but that's an insane amount of draft capital.

I'm not focusing on one year. Romo has had many opportunities to shine in the big moments, and he hasn't. He's basically had one real good game when it matters, and has been average at best otherwise.

Some people don't like him. But I revered this man. For example, he had devalued the runningbacks position since the 80s, ive listened, but only now are people picking up on that recruiting tactic of getting good runningbacks late in the draft. Not wasting early draft picks on a RB.
So when Bill Parcells quit and left the cowboys, knowing full well he wasn't gonna get sh** out of Tony Romo. Folks are still not listening. Stay away from this guy, I got burned many a time, and many others will as well, "IN HOPING" that he will turn it around.
GET RID OF TONY ROMO!

Would be a bad trade for Cleveland. Better to rebuild around young players. Romo is aging and has had back surgeries the last two off seasons.
