DeAnthony Thomas is fast, really fast. I'd like to see the Chiefs use more split back sets next season.

Skins looked real good vs. the Pats but it's hard to say anything when they're playing without Brady, Gronk, Amendola, and Revis.

I do love our depth at RB and WR though.

Falcons looked good against the Dolphins, our O-Line looks much better than it did last season.

My observations..Khalil Mack looked lost...mosley was all over the field making plays...Derek Carr will be starting by week 3...cooks flashed....All I need to say about black mamba is speed kills....ravens offense looks legit again..

Robert Griffin III struggled in joint practices this week against the New England Patriots. Some members of the Patriots' organization believe that Kirk Cousins is the best quarterback on the Redskins' roster.

I'm not surprised. RG3 is learning a new system and Gruden is trying to make him into more of a pocket passer. Cousins on the other hand is already a pretty decent pocket passer. The problem with Cosuins is he's physically limited which means he'll throw a bunch of picks. He's best case scenario Joe Flacco with a weaker arm, worst case scenario Rex Grossman with more athleticism.

This Monday Night preseason game between the Skins and Browns will be pretty interesting(for a preseason game).

You have Johnny Football vs. RG3.

You have Jon Gruden broadcasting a game his brother is coaching in.

You have Kyle Shanahan returning to the city he last coached in.

And now the Browns signed Rex Grossman, who last played here. You know he's gonna try hard to get a win in the 4th quarter if the game is still in reach.

After Weeden looked good last year but stunk in the regular season, I've learned I don't care too much win or lose.

5 guys I'm watching in the second week:

Cardinals rookie WR John Brown. Blazing speed, was uncoverable during Shrine Game week, strong for a slender guy but he's got tiny, tiny hands. Has been talk of their camp.

Steelers LB Jarvis Jones. Want to see where he's at right now. This is a guy who was a first-round pick in 2013 despite posting lesser athletic metrics than I can, save the bench press (not hyperbole, we actually did the drills). I'm 41 with chronic turf toe and trained exactly one week for those drills.

Panthers OT Byron Bell. In pencil as their starting LT despite ideally possessing the skills of a RG. How much will they miss Jordan Gross?

Browns WR Josh Gordon. He couldn't get open against Rashean Mathis or Cassius Vaughn and I know those guys are nothing more than average CBs on good days (I was at the game). One year wonder? Suspension weighing on him? Purposely sabotaging Hoyer for Manziel, whom he's quickly bonded with?

Broncos rookie WR Cody Latimer. He's good a good shot at being the only rookie who makes their active roster. I never bought the draft hype but acknowledge his potential. Let's see it.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Wouldn't it be something if Josh Gordon pulled a Braylon Edwards on the Browns. Just for Manziels sake I wish that doesn't happen.

As for tonight I'm interested in watching how the Bears defense performs. I genuinely think they can win the NFC North IF (and that's a big IF) their defense plays above average.

Edit: And Kyle Fuller goes to the locker room as I make this post...
