Best Bets

What do you think are the best bets, if you were going to lay money on a couple of games this weekend? I have a feeling the Raiders are going to be better than people think. They looked legit tough against the Cards in week 3. Their D looks tough. Amare Cooper looked good. Carr will likely be better. I like what Jack Del Rio has done by incorporating the team learning about the history and legends on the old Oakland teams. Just their whole vibe seemed different. I know I'm kind of repeating what Collinsworth kept saying but it looked true. As a Chargers fan I hope they suck, but I think I might make a bet on them this weekend.

I could see them keeping the game close, at home, even if they lose by a field goal, they cover.

I also kind of like St Louis. You also get over a fg with them. They ALWAYS play their division games close. They (as with the Raiders) are at home and getting more than that field goal.

A lot of people don't like betting a log of dogs, but I kind of like these too. I wish STL didn't have a banged up running game though.

I also like, to a lesser extent, the Giants. It seems they set the line to bait people into taking Dallas minus the six. Dallas always has a slightly inflated spread due to the widespread Dallas fan base and more bets always falling on their side regardless. They also lose DeMarcus Murray, but you have to wonder if a big part of his success was due to the line. It's not like he was always that good.

Any thoughts on those and other games?

I'm iffy on Detroit/SD and may change my beat the commish pick the more I think of it. The one I like the most right now is Philly/Atlanta, I don't know what to make of the Eagles right now and Atlanta getting any points at home seems pretty good to me.

Fins over Skins. We match up horribly with them and are a franchise in total dysfunction. Bet the house on Miami to cover.
