Geez, this is some of the worst tackling I've seen all season. Miami is lucky to still be within striking distance.

Don't see why a non pats fan would tune in, I figured they'd win anyway.

I have Lamar Miller on a couple of my fantasy teams. Dont give a crap about the game otherwise.

As long as Rodgers and Brady are statistically comparable, Rodgers will always get the edge for me, because of his superior mobility, and the fact that he doesn't have his #1 receiver.

But the fact that Brady is doing what he's doing with a makeshift offensive line, a RB picked up off the street, and only one legitimately dominant offensive weapon in Gronk (Edelman is good, but he's mainly a product of Brady...Edelman, Amendola, Lewis, Lafell...these guys would experience a SIGNIFICANT regression with a lesser QB) is nothing short of incredible. Really puts to rest the nonsense about Brady being able to do what he's done because of an offensive line that gives him a ton of time...really hasn't been the case since his early years tbh. A lot of their playoff losses were the result of Brady's line not protecting him well, and this year, they've been mediocre (at best), and he's still destroying whoever he faces.

this is wrong, brady had top ten ranked pass protection every year of his career except for 2008, usually in top 5. last year patriots pass protection was ranked number 2. pretty remarkable rodgers even put up comparable numbers considering the swiss cheese line packers gave him up until last year, as having good protection much more important than having good receivers.

I really doubt that. My guess is that the Patriot line is extremely overrated thanks to Brady being so good. In 2008 they allowed the most sacks when Brady was out. Brady gets rid of the ball really quickly. He might be the best in the league at avoiding sacks.

if qb has that much impact on oline performance, i am guessing rodgers was a terrible qb up until last season?

I'm heading to New Orleans for the Giants game, it is going to be extremely hard for us to win in the environment that is the Superdome. Should be a shootout though.

Rogers is well known for taking a long time to throw. Rogers makes his line look worse, while Brady makes his line look much better.

It sure does help a quarterback when their division is average or worse most years they've played. At least the Jets have some hope this year.

Sorta like the old NFC west when the 49ers had it it all for about 15+ years. :( The Rams were decent off and on but that was about it with some cameo's from the Ain'ts and the Falcant's.

Expecting Mike Evans to absolutely go off against the Falcons. Bucs will put him on the side away from Desmond Trufant and he's Jameis' only real target (along with Charles Sims). Wouldn't be surprised to see 20+ targets go to him.

That being said, I still expect the Falcons to come away with a home W.

Meh, seems pretty convenient to ignore the impact that a QB has on his O-line. Brady doesn't get sacked as much because he's got incredible pocket awareness and he gets rid of the ball quick.

Rodgers is very mobile, but he also likes to hero ball it a lot, and so he gets sacked more.

Except for 2008...oh, you mean the ONE year when Brady was injured, the Pats O-line sucked? And then when he came back, they were magically good again? And that has nothing to do with Brady, he's just lucky to always have time in the pocket?

How convenient.

The constant Brady discussions is making this board hard to read at times. Do the Lions go quarterback in the draft?
