Former NFL running back Ray Rice is still trying to navigate choppy waters, as he attempts to get back in the league, after his domestic violence issue in 2014.
Simultaneously, Rice continues to pour out contrition, to anyone who will listen, in an effort to atone for his incident while helping to prevent such issues in the future. Now, Rice has decided to marry the two and put his money where his mouth is.
On Thursday, the former Baltimore Ravens runner told USA Today's Tom Pelissero that he would donate his entire NFL salary to charities designed to help domestic violence victims if he were allowed back into the NFL.
“Me donating my salary is something that’ll be from the heart for me," Rice said. "I only want to play football so I can end it the right way for my kids and for the people that really believed in me. But I know there’s a lot of people affected by domestic violence, and every dollar helps. It’s raising awareness.

What he did should never be forgiven, that video was brutal he hit her twice...and I'm sorry for judging without knowing, but if you hit a woman that brutally TWICE, that wasn't the first time in my opinion
I felt guilty for holding a girl that was hitting me, (again I'm guilty of speculating on this because I'm not a psychologist) but you have to build up to 2 face punches and dragging a girl out by her hair

For the most part yes. As a Raven fan, I can say that I never cared for him even before this incident (except for maybe that play in SD). The incident really had me outraged and I was thrilled when we cut him. Now, looking back on how he has conducted himself, I really feel he is honest about wanting to make things right. I believe him when he says he wants to be a better example. At this point, and I know it has been repeated several times in the media and on this board, his biggest problem is the short life span of his position and the measly 3ypc the last time he played. It's a nice gesture and I believe a sincere one, but one in which I doubt he'll have the opportunity to make good on. Then again, we are bringing Trent Richardson into camp so who knows?
