So let's put on the homer glasses here for a few minutes (for those of us who sometimes take them off ). While still being realistic, what do you think would be considered a good season for your team this upcoming season? How achievable is it?


For my Panthers, I think that after a year like last year, and especially now with Kelvin Benjamin coming back and our entire coaching staff returning, it's perfectly within the realm of possibility that we could do what we weren't able to last year and win the Super Bowl. Another optimistic prediction is Kelvin Benjamin has a monster comeback year, leading the league in Touchdowns. I'd also really like to see Funchess have a big year and step up to become the 2nd WR, and Jonathan Stewart get around 1200 rushing yards.

Rams 9-7 maybe,maybe not wildcard

Raiders 10-6 and a Wild Card spot.

The floor for the Ravens should be to finish no worse than 8-8. I think our pass defense is still an achilles heal for us and our list of weapons on offense aren't exactly electrifying on paper. We are, however stable with the coach/qb combo which is enough to expect no worse than a .500 season in the NFL. Our ceiling, which would require some nifty patchwork of the secondary, team health and a little bit of a let down from the Steelers and Bengals, is about 11-5 and they pick up a win in the postseason.

You guys will be a royal pain in the Ass in the AFC north this year. Just having Flacco and Suggs back will make a huge difference. Love to have Suggs on our D-line, I'll tell you that. Your going to like Kenneth Dixon as well. I think he will be a starter sooner than you think.

What's the over/under on the Rams. I want the under!!!!

I really hope so. This rebuilding project from the post-2012 salary purge/retirement party hasn't gone as well as I hoped. Suggs is getting long in the tooth, but when he's healthy, it hasn't shown yet. He's an all time great that has spent a lot of time in the shadow of Reed and Lewis. It's not often you get a guy that can pass rush and defend the run like he can. Have you seen a lot of this Dixon guy? He's still kind of an unknown to me, but damn it'd be nice to be able to get some productivity out of the back end of our draft fr a change...or the front end for that matter.

7 games. These Vegas **** don't make it easy. That's right about where I'd have them. I think the defense and Fisher riding Gurley to death can get them one extra win. I'll say 8-8, but there is no margin for error in that.

I will agree with you that anything less than .500 for the Ravens would be a disappointment for the fans, and below expectations, however for a team that went 5-11 last year I'd say that's a bit of an optimistic floor. At the same time though, I feel like 11-5 is very realistic as well after some of their offseason moves and assuming they can stay healthy. I think Weddle is going to be a HUGE boost for the defense. For me the Ravens are probably the biggest wild card next year, there are so many different ways their season could turn out.

We were supposed go for a much needed draft pick for the defense. But after our first round pick, we were stuck between moving up for Lynch or picking Dixon with our 2nd pick. I don't need to remind any of you knowledgeable football fans in here of what Jerry once again did with our draft. I'm sure you will really like him when he gets his opportunity.
