Dan2087, with 142 correct picks barely hangs on to win, barely holding off a monster week by defending champion Wo1verine, who made an amazing 14 correct picks in the final week to come up with 141 for the season.

hermes finished in 3rd with 139 and ATL Boy in 4th with 138.

Congrats Dan. And Wo1verine, that is impressive to nearly winning the competition two years in a row. Last year there were maybe only 30 active participants, and this year close to 80 to begin, buy many gave up early. At least 50 stuck around for most of the season though, so to finish that high twice among that many people is near impossible when spreads basically turn every game into a 50/50 toss up.

Maybe you should be working in Vegas. That being said, with real gambling you need to hit at least 55% of your bets to come out ahead, and usually the winners in this barely exceed that, and 95% of the rest fall below that, which is why Vegas continues to build new big casinos.

actually sports betting very small percentage of vegas revenue, i think sportsbook revenue was 200m out of 11 billion total gambling revenue last year.

Moving this competition to ESPN.com was brilliant, and I don't think it's a coincidence that more people stuck around this year with the move. It just looks so much cleaner and is much easier to just click rather than have to copy and paste.

MUCH easier to not have to manually grade as well. I wish ESPN had a separate one for the playoffs and am surprised they don't.
