I need to check with Mr. B. on that one first,

He’s has decent hands but pretty much nothing else. Is slow and can’t run routes. Also can’t block. I’m more excited about Schultz and Jarwin.

Me too.

Well, that doesn't sound promising at all.

He’s got an understanding of pro style offenses (Stanford) so the transition should be OK. Probably not as polished a receiver as a blocker. There is plenty of upside and I sense he won’t embarrass himself out there.

In other words - he’s no Gavin Escobar.

I can't say that I hate the Cowboys. Growing up, there were teams and players on the Cowboys that I dug. I loved the Charlie Waters/Cliff Harris safety tandem. I loved Roger Staubach. I loved Bob Lily. I had a begrudging respect for the way the Cowboys rebuilt their team and won it three times with those early 90's teams.

But perhaps my fondest memory of all for the Cowboys was my 85' Bears beating them 44-0 in Dallas.

Rico has met a friend of mine down here in houston. Pretty sure his wife met her, too...heard they’re both good people

I was at that game. Sat next to a section of Bears fans. At 30-0 they started up a chant - “37... 37... 37...”.

At 37-0 - “44...44... 44...”

At 44-0 - “51... 51... 51...”

When Danny White got hurt the first time and Landry put Hogeboom I booed the hell out of Gary. When White got hurt the second time and Landry put Hogeboom in, I felt sorry for him.

Towards the end, as the “51” chant died down, a buddy stood up and yelled at the Bears fans “I just want you to know I could have sold these tickets for $250 F*****G BUCKS APIECE GAWD DAMMIT!!!. Several Cowboys fans around us kinda nodded their heads like “Yeah... me too.”

One of those games you were glad to be at in a dark, sadistic way. I did have a blast with those Bears fans though. Drank like bosses!

I was just teasing there a bit about that game. Though it was a real statement game that SB year. Funny that you were there. Nice story.

I remember the buildup that week being insane... and the balloon bursting by halftime. That Bears defense was so damn great...

If the Cowboys lose to the giants this week we will finish in the basement of the NFC East this year.

It's very NFC East that Adrian Peterson might be the reason Wasteam wins the division.

I did always love to tune in to a Tony Romo trainwreck or Dez having a cry. So you've got me there.

20 years of incoherent Jerry Jones ramblings while neutering any chance of bringing in a real coach leave me with little else but dark, witty observations. Otherwise, I’d kill myself.

Possibly.

Cowboys and Egals should be the easy walk away front runners to win this division and make the playoffs. Giants fall off from last year but Washington will emerge as a playoff contender. Their defense is quite elite. Sam Howell will be a key to how far they go along with health for sure.

The forum I used to post in, Pro Sports Daily, will officially be dead on July 23rd (they are shutting the site down). I joined this site back in 2015 but never posted. Hopefully this will be a good place to talk instead!

Bring him over here. We can always use more football posters. Check out the Cowboy forum as well. We have one of the more active football forums on this site but could still use a lot posters with their thoughts and opinions.
