At the end of this season, if he retires, he will likely end up somewhere between 7th and 9th in yards, and if he plays one more he could get as high as 3rd.



Owens and Moss played 13 years, Rice played 19 years and Fitzgerald has only played in 11 (this is 12th).

I definitely don't have him in the top 10 and I can think of many others not listed here that I would have higher than Fitzgerald.

I imagine Lance Alworth is one of them? Fitzgerald was amazing last night for being the age he is. Sometimes I think I (and maybe others) take for granted just how good he's been and is.

Not only alworth, but where's John Stallworth, Lynn Swann who made the greatest catch in super Bowl history, Drew Pearson, Bob Hayes and many others that didn't play to the candy assed rules they have today. Where's Sterling Sharpe?

I think you might be somewhat favoring nostalgia. I mean those guys were good, but all these guys make great catches all the time. Don't know Bob Hayes, and I like Stallworth, Swann and Pearson, but I don't think they sniff the greatest receivers of all time list. They just happened to be on stacked contending teams so they were remembered.

Top 10 for sure. He has had numerous amazing playoff catches, and probably one of the best games, for a receiver, in super bowl history.

Well it's comparing apples to oranges, so a debate won't work as well, but I don't think it would hurt all of today's wrs to a very large degree. Guys like Terry Bradshaw didn't really put up much for passing #s either. Sure, the rules have made it easier for QBs, but that team was great more for their defense and Franco Harris running, than their passing game.

09 post season was stuff of legends, they could've put him in hall of fame right after that run. he is behind rice and moss or sure, after that not gonna find many more to put ahead of him.

Definitely a Hall of Famer. Would love to have him on the Seahawks

Larry Fitzgerald isn't going to lose many, if any, shoving matches with a CB whether it's a 1976 corner or a 2016 corner. If it comes to guys being allowed to shove each other around in the secondary, my money is that Fitz just knocks Everson Walls on his kiester to leave himself more wide open than he gets these days.
He is just about a lock to go over 15k to put him right along Moss and Owens who are generally and rightfully accepted as 2 and 3 behind Rice. So, in doing so, he is no lower than fourth given that he has suffered some seasons with awful QBs. (6 of his 12 seasons has been played with Stanton, Anderson, Kolb, Leinart or a McCown as Arizona's leading passer)

It wasn't even below average or routinely bad QBs. It was guys who probably couldn't win a backup job for 2/3 of the teams in the league. It was almost inexcusably bad.

Might take him over TO tbh, since Fitz was nothing but class his entire career and thus didn't cause ANY locker room issues.

Would only take Rice and Moss for sure over Fitz.

Moss is another guy who generally played with crap QBs and was still dominant, and then had possibly the most dominant season from a WR in history when he was paired with an elite QB.

Megatron should be in this conversation. I don't care much that he decided to retire early. I'm with you, RB3. I loved T.O., but I'd take Fitz over him and maybe Moss too.

Yes, here is a list. Only the top 2 are good qbs, and the third is ok...after that, the rest of the list is awful.

Sorry guys. Can't go with you on this one. I can think of at least 25 WR's that I would have over Fitzgerald. Question posed was OF ALL TIME. I'm sure if we really think about this, we can come up with an impressive list that does not include Fitzgerald. This forum is so west coast.

And I don't even have 9 of their listed WR's in my top 10 list. Its an opinion poll and thread. I'm sure there will be many differences depending on who you ask. Great debate and would be interested to see everyone's all time top 20 list though.
