Historically they've had many draft picks and draft only one quarterback(a bust). It repeats.
2016:
Best scenario is Kessler works out or they trade for Matt McGloin and he works out. Focus on other areas in the draft.
2017:
McGloin and Fitzpatrick are free agents. An aging quarterback is not likely to go on a rebuilding team.
It appears to be a weak draft for quarterbacks. Assuming Kizer is taken by someone else and there will be competition for other quarterbacks, it's possible the Browns will strike out. What are their best options?

Cleveland is starting their 5th quarterback in 5 games this weekend. I'm no NFL historian, but I'd be pretty surprised if that has ever happened before.

They've had this problem for so long. I don't know if they'll actually find a starting caliber QB during my lifetime.

If Bradford works out great for Minnesota, Cleveland should trade for Teddy Bridgewater once he recovers. Mike Glennon wouldn't be a bad option either.

If that happens, Teddy should retire. He's the kind of guy whose career the Browns could irreparably wreck into oblivion.

browns dont need to learn how to draft quarterbacks, they need to learn how to draft period. their 2011-2014 first rounders are phil taylor, trent richardson, weeden, barkevious mingo, manziel, justin gilbert. i takes special skill to wiff on 6 straight first round picks.

at least early returns on coleman is pretty good

The Browns actually have a good talented recieving core along with Joe Thomas on the OL.

Coleman, Gordon, Barnridge, Crowell are all decent to great players.

They also lost all of the preseason games, so 0-20 is still possible. As long as it turns into something good later on, I'm not even bothered by it much.

I'm hoping a second rounder. I haven't seen any discussion about this on the Browns board I go on, or anything from the team. What's a realistic offer from Seattle? I read earlier this week the offensive line is 28th and was 30th last year. The loss of two starters hasn't hurt them much yet. I think Thomas is less overrated than the others though.

I would give up a 2nd in a heartbeat. Do we have a Deal?

I knew something bad would happen to the kid even though he's almost done his suspension. After all his roomie and buddy was Johnny Manziel. I knew it was coming. too bad the kid has God given talent. But some dough heads and junkie's can't be saved till they want to change themselves.
