For me, I'd go with Romo. You've learned you have a great backup, but Romo is more of an elite starter imo, despite no interceptions by Dak. He still seems a little more like a conservative qb. You could argue that is better with a good OL and RB though but at some point they will have to play tougher teams that require a QB that can really put up the numbers.

Game planning with him will become less and less conservative as he grows into the starting role week by week. Even with Romo, this is the make up of the Cowboys now. Dez is hurt, the defense is doing well enough, but can't afford to be put into bad spots, they have a great O line that paves the way for a top notch running game. The offense would not be winging it around 40+ times a game either way. Dak has done nothing to warrant being benched and in the world of sports, when all else is equal, go with the future. This is Brady-Bledsoe all over. If you recall, at the time, Bledsoe was still considered a more prolific passer and one of the better QBs in the league. It worked out okay for the Patriots.

The Smart money would be on Prescott. The only reason the offense is conservative is because hes a rookie and they didnt know what they had with him until he started playing. It'll open up as the season progresses, he gets more comfortable, and when Dez gets back. Theyre gonna lose games trying to get Romo back into a rhythm, and at this point, he's gonna be a hinderance on the offense bcuz he'll be immobile.

But since the Cowboys arent smart, theyll still mess up the flow and put Romo back in

It's tough, but I'm a Romo fan. I think he is a very undervalued quarterback, and I think he gives them a better shot in the playoffs than Dak. Dak certainly may be the future of the team, but I really wouldn't hesitate to throw Romo back in if he is totally healthy. He could do some damage, especially with a solid squad like they have this year.

With a rookie QB doing that well already, and Romo always ending up being hurt, i would go with Dak. give him more in game experience to develop. It's time to invest in Dak now

As a Cowboy fan I go with Prescott all the way. If I am Gm I'm trying to find a way to make a trade or some kind of deal to get out of the 21 million dollar cap hit going into next season. And I'm still entertaining offers like I was willing 3 years ago to make a trade with Dez while we can still get top dollar.

cant trust romo, he is just likely to lose a game as to win a game. just ride ezekiel and oline on offense and make risky throws only when it is absolutely necessary.

I voted Dak.

I don't trust the Cowboys with Romo. They'll put him on the field before he should be ready to go. If the rookie starts to struggle later in the season then you might make the change, but don't run Romo out there just yet.

Since Prescott is my QB in the realgm fantasy league, my answer to this is easy.

However, logically yea Romo should start.

Gotta be Romo. Assuming he looks ok in practice anyway. If he can't throw the ball well anymore because of his recent injury you obviously don't use him.

As a Gm however you also have to ask yourself, what's best for the chemistry of the team.

Voted Romo. Although Prescott looks like the future franchise QB, Romo gives the Cowboys a much higher ceiling.

I probably go with Romo just because once you decide to bench him, his Cowboy career is probably over. It's a lot easier to change your mind later if you go with Romo now.

I find it extremely hilarious all the current NFC poster's of current playoff contenders want Romo as QB. Just too funny and I see through all the lack of transparency here, lmao.

Well - the GM is showing his hand. And until he shows he isn't up to the task, Dak will be the starter and Romo the back up. And that will be the best 1-2 QB tandem in the league.
