Josh Brown Domestic Violence 1 GAME

Post#1 » by LAKESHOW » Thu Oct 20, 2016 6:07 pm

Ray Rice, who got many more games suspension and was for better or worse, blackballed by the league big time is sayin...

THE MAN IS ALWAYS TRYIN TO KEEP A BRUTHA DOWN!

"Molly Brown told police that he had been physically violent with her in more than 20 instances during the past several years."

The Rice incident was caught on video. It was out there for the whole world to see. Big difference. The NFL had no choice at that point. Damage control for the league. If a tape was released showing Brown doing something similar, he would get blackballed too. Just saying.

It sounds like in the big picture, what Josh Brown was doing made him a much, much bigger scumbag. The guy was keeping a journal of this **** from what I understand? WTF is that? It's a shame that having a video of equally bad actions suddenly makes one worse than the other. If a player scores 2 TDs in the first quarter of a game, shoots and imaginary bow and arrow both times (which earns an ejection), he will miss almost as much time as Josh Brown, because, you know, role models and all. It's getting harder every day to love the NFL.

There absolutely needs to be some serious reconsideration of how the NFL handles cases of domestic violence. It's just disgusting. And they wonder why their ratings continue to slip? That's a big part of it. In my opinion, any player who has any sort of domestic violence or sexual assault charges against them (that have a certain amount of substantial backing and evidence) should not be allowed to play until the court has worked things out. If they are let off by the court, the NFL may allow them back, depending on the case. If they are charged, ban that **** and never let them see the lights of an NFL stadium again. This NEEDS to be taken more seriously. It's unacceptable that players get in more trouble for smoking a little weed than they do for smacking their wives.

Admitting to it is basically the same thing as being caught on video, so I don't see why the punishment is any different?

This is just one more in the long list of Roger Goodell screw ups.

theres no screw up. The league does exactly what it wants to. Your judgement of it is irrelevant to them.

Yes, there is a screw up, and **** like this is greatly costing the league right now in ratings. This is one of many, many situations which Goodell has handled poorly, and they are starting to see it backfire.

I'm not saying its any different. Its still horrible. Its just the league would rather cover it up. The reason the league came down so hard on Rice was because of the video that leaked. If a video of Brown leaks, then he's **** too. You know this to be true. I wasn't making it justifiable by any means lol. Sucks, but its how society works bud.

Goodell only does what the owners tell him to and the league isnt losing out to baseball or basketball anytime soon.
ratings are down for economical reasons if at all. No one gives a damn about the kicker because no one gives a damn about the countless other things the players are caught for time and again over the years.

ratings are down because people cant work and cant pay for the nfl channel etc

Flying off and busting a chick in the chops is an anger issue/**** move. Doing it repeatedly, referring to her as a slave and yourself as a god and keeping a journal of it is psychopathic. This guy doesn't just need a suspension from the NFL, he needs a long suspension from the world in the company of a good shrink.

Can we talk about Eli Manning and Bob McAdoo burying OBJ in public for the past month but yet he's standing by their wife beater kicker?

It just doesn't make sense on so many levels. At what point are kickers more valuable than transcendent WR's?

On top of everything stated in this thread, what about the social in justice in this case and fairness we call equality. Greg Hardy - Black, Ray Rice - Black, Josh Brown - white.

Oh yes there is. Its called zero tolerance. How hypocritical on behalf of the NFL.

yeah, i get the outrage towards nfl and i hope it gets worse for them but prosecutors dont even get half the grunt nfl gets. i think some people want nfl to make up for the shortcomings of criminal justice system.
