At least 8 teams but maybe more, considering more still have a legit chance at getting into the playoffs.

Well, I can probably guess who people will have at the top, but what interests me more is how people rank the teams in relation to each other that still have a chance of getting in. It's kind of crazy because you have two divisions with people tied at 7-5 or 6-6 getting in and then you have other divisions with pretty good teams in 3rd place. I maybe should have gone deeper actually because I am curious how people view people like the Titans and Bills and some of these teams that are right there and could easily get in.

The AFC, for example, has a legit 11 teams with a chance of getting in. http://www.espn.com/nfl/standings/_/view/playoff

Some of the teams two back of Denver. Bills are two games back, but Denver has a brutal schedule left. @ TEN, NE, @KC, OAK.

I was really hoping the Chargers pulled their game out to get to 6-6 and only be 2 back of Denver with a remaining schedule of @Panthers, @Browns, KC, OAK (the latter two they nearly beat on the road in the first matchups...definitely should have beaten KC). That was my small glimmer of hope.

Your rankings look about right. I'd probably rank them about the same, though I think Pitt and Baltimore are probably better than KC and Denver. I've seen them win too many games on crazy fluke plays, and come playoff time, and as good as Ben or Flacco could be in the playoffs, I wouldn't trust the types of wins they pulled out against the likes of the Saints, Panthers and Chargers to work against teams like that if they are healthy.

EDIT: Silly me didn't really read through the OP, will fix it when i have more time
1. Dallas, which i think is a no brainer

2. Seahawks, I still think they're the most talented team in the NFL, and likely to make the Super bowl, Earl thomas injury sucks though

3. Raiders, Carr looks amazing, imagine if the Texans took him with the first pick of the second round like they were projected to! Defense struggles a bit but they (specifically Carr) keep finding ways to win.

4. New England Patriots, I'll be honest, I haven't watched the Patriots at all this season, however Tom Brady is still Tom Brady and this roster is pretty talented. They did pretty decent at the beginning of the season without Gronk.

5. Kansas City Chiefs, Andy Reid is my favorite coach in the NFL, and their defense is a great one. I think this is their year to make the super bowl.

6. Denver, Great defense but the offense is very mediocre, I'm sure they'll be looking at Tony Romo this upcoming offseason.

7. New York Giants

8. Detroit Lions
