I'm surprised it took them so long. He's coached that team right into the ground.

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/18306226/jaguars-fire-coach-gus-bradley-3-plus-seasons-14-winsObviously they are a major disappointment this year. I didn't realize he was in trouble, but I guess any underperforming coach, after a few years you can expect the axe unless it takes like a decade like with Fisher.

He'll land in Atlanta most likely

He should take Bortles with him.

Yeh when is Bortles getting the axe? Dude has shown little to no progress at all. And he still makes throws every game that make you scratch your head.

Jaguars have all this nice young talent around them and a QB that will turn out to be a huge bust like Osweiller.

About time.
I'm betting Tom Coughlin or Mike Smith will be the next Head Coach. The people of Jax have been eating the member berries and want Coughlin back. Our GM worked with Mike Smith in Atlanta and he is doing well with TB's defense. Smith also used to be a DC in Jax so that helps.

Coughlin is in his 70's. He would be a short term answer only. Mike Smith fizzled out in Atlanta.
You either have to swing for the fences or hire an up & coming coach. If I was a fan, I wouldn't be happy with either one of those names.

Khan might be wary of an unproven, up-and-coming coach because they need to turn this team around fast. The Jags are going on a decade without a winning season and apathy is starting to sink in.
I guarantee you most fans in Jax would LOVE Coughlin as a short fix.

Another name I keep hearing is Josh McDaniels. Our GM and McDaniels are former college teammates at John Carroll so there is a link there.
Honestly, this coaching search will probably come down to which coach is willing to work with Bortles...

Man... there's a
LOT of work needing to be done with Bortles. That dude looks like he has zero confidence right now.

Would love it if Bradley made his way to Oakland and built a defensive unit here.. Ken Norton Jr. is basically Mike Singletary with a functional belt

Bortles really hurt the young Jaguars with his piss poor play this year.

I honestly don't know if Gus would be that much of an upgrade over Norton for you. He got credit for the teams performance in Seattle, but the defense really took off when Dan Quinn replaced him. With Quinn as the DC, the team got to the Super Bowl twice. Hawks fans were split on Bradley. He was just an okay coordinator to some. Obviously, not the greatest head coach either.

Gus is overrated as a DC. A paper reported that the defense got better when he left. And that it got in line more with Pete's philosophy on the back end of the defense. After gus left
