He just led the greatest comeback in SB history, and people will continue to hate.

You can still hate something but respect it at the same time.

I can't imagine how this game feels for Falcons fans. I feel sick to my stomach and am not even a Falcons fan.

As a Broncos fan, I can tell you things get much easier when you just recognize that they're the best and Brady is the GOAT. I've become desensitized to the Patriots winning so it doesn't bother me anywhere near to the degree that it used to.

That is exactly the case. New England used to make me sick, I cheered against them in almost every circumstance. And I still don't particularly like them. But when you just step back and remove emotions a little bit to realize the greatness of that team it's much more bearable/enjoyable.

As a Celtics fan I went through the same thing with Magic and Lakers and then even more so with Jordan and the Bulls. Greatness is what it is.

The last 5 MVP's lost the SB. That's crazy.

Very little irks me more than when a sports fan claims that a team won because they were "lucky." Especially when it's a championship. Or, ya know, five. That is just the stupidest thing you could possibly say.

You need to be both good and lucky. 100% of NBA, NHL,MLB and Super Bowl Champions all needed luck at some point in their runs.

Luck is just part of the game. It's just that the great teams put themselves into position to get lucky.

I discovered a while ago that the only thing hated more than the Patriots is Brady. And because of that a lot of people are blinded to the truth-
For the last decade the Patriots have been Brady, Belichick and not much else.
It's been 10 years since the Patriots had a truly good defense. The offensive line is by far the most overrated in history and collapses in the playoffs almost every year. They rarely can run the ball effectively. The receivers are mostly just low draft picks and castoffs that are average at best.

The greatness of the Pats is so unique. It's not like they blow out people in Super Bowls. Many of those great teams just dominate. This is where Belichick is so good..at figuring out a way to win, and having Brady helps.

They won their first 3 super bowls by 3, and then the one against the Seahawks by 4, and now one that was tied in regulation, but won by six.

It's just unique. Most dominating teams destroy.

The satisfaction might be greater as a Pats fans though (if I were one) to know that we don't need to dominate, and no matter the circumstances, there is a good chance we will figure out a way to win. A win is a win.

When did Aaron Rodgers lose the Super Bowl?

One of the networks mentioned it. Ryan, Manning (2013 & 09), Brady (07) and one other. No mention of Rodgers. Did he win the MVP that year?

I think they meant the last 8 MVPs to MAKE the SB have lost.

2016 - Matt Ryan
2015 - Cam Newton
2013 - Peyton Manning
2007 - Tom Brady
2005 - Shaun Alexander
2002 - Rich Gannon
2001 - Kurt Warner

Oh ok. That makes sense then.

I thought you meant the last 5 to win NFL MVP (Ryan, Newton, Rodgers, Manning, Peterson)

Another way to say it: the MVP of the league hasn't won the SB since 1999 (Kurt Warner with the Rams).

It speaks to how much of a true team sport football is. Especially compared to something like the NBA.

It's more about coaching/preparation than pure talent.
