John can ask Jim how to handle the Kap

I'm cool with it, even though Ryan Mallett hasn't been the worst back up in the world. Right now, Kaepernick is, at worst, in the top 25-30 qbs in the league. If that's your backup, then that position is in decent shape. Can he play TE or WR when we don't need him at QB?

This would be a very good landing spot for Kaep. I stand by all statements that I've made that he isn't a starter in this league, but he is a pretty solid backup if placed in the right system, and I could see this being that system. Especially with it looking like Flacco may be facing some health issues, I could see him getting in quite a bit and flourishing.

Sounds like they are passing.
Also sounds like the Steelers aren't remotely interested either... out of respect to Al Villanueva.
Seriously - he dug himself a bit of a hole if he really wants to play.

Harbaugh didn't have enough pull, I guess.

Sounds like the fans are having a say also.

I don't see him getting signed by the end training camp.

You know...
Kaepernick had a job. He had a contract. He opted out of said contract. He made a poor decision. Say he's being blackballed and you can make a solid case in support. But - the man made some really stupid choices also. Might be useful to include that in this discussion too.

Lol. You probably believe then, that cutler should be QB for the dolphins. The MAN is gettin another one over the bruthas.

Dolphins have the right to do whatever they choose to do as it relates to their paying customers. It's a business. Just like the Ravens have that same right. For the record - Kaepernick also had the right to make whatever statement he chose to make. I'm a vet. I served for him to have that right. A business owner has the right to make decisions that he deems to be in the best interest of his business too.
And please - stop with the "bruthas" crap. If he was good enough, someone would sign him. Hell - Jerry Jones signed Greg Hardy.
He's just not that good dude. Get over it.

Ohhh, I see your angle. I really don't even care about Kap. But the truth comes out. Your feelings were hurt with the flag and all the disrespectfulness played out on TV. Kap ain't good. He is a lousy QB. But the fact is, he is being blackballed. He is also a capable backup. And your pettiness is showing. As a matter of fact, it's the same small mindedness being shown by your owner. Good luck with that.

oh, I also want to add. I do respect your opinion. As a veteran, its all good. Kap did ruffle feathers, maybe could have done it another way. But still, he is a capable backup in this league.

One final thing about Cutler to the Dolphins and then I'm done with discussing this topic with you.
Adam Gase is the coach of the Dolphins. He was Cutler's OC in Chicago. So, it makes perfect sense to bring in a guy who knows the offense as opposed to a guy who doesn't know the offense.
I agree. He is a capable backup... in the right system. And I don't dispute that certain teams won't pull the trigger on him because of fan backlash. Once again - I believe that if the Cowboys needed a QB Jerry wouldn't hesitate pulling the trigger. As I said earlier - he signed Greg Hardy. Taking heat doesn't bother him one damn bit.

I think he is getting blackballed but there is legitimate reasons to not sign him. He would be a huge media distraction. If all you're getting out of him is a backup QB I can see why they're not interested in that, it was the same with Tebow. In addition to the question of fitting the system.

Whatever, Jerry Jones has blackballed Kap. That's the truth.

I think Kap would´ve signed with a team already but beside the media distraction the money will be a key aspect as well. If he would play for small money he won´t be a free agent anymore but I guess he wants to get paid as well.

All the more reason that he should have taken the players option on his contract and forced the Niners to make a decision.

Last point. What the heck does Jerry Jones know about QBs?
