David Johnson likely out for 8-12 weeks

Cardinals running back David Johnson will seek a second opinion on the left wrist injury he suffered in Sunday's 35-23 loss to the Detroit Lions, but the early prognosis is a dislocated wrist that will require surgery, coach Bruce Arians said Monday.

The Cardinals will know the full extent of Johnson's injury by Tuesday afternoon.

If a second doctor confirms Johnson dislocated his wrist, he'll go on injured reserve with a possible return. Arians wouldn't put a timeline on Johnson's return, but Arians mentioned rookie running back T.J. Logan, who will end up missing eight to 12 weeks with the same injury.

This was a torpedo to the hull of an already leaky boat.

Well I for one don't give a shizz about the Cardinals as I am a Browns fan :D

But yes obviously it hurts the Cards.

Getting dropped in most leagues now, and guys who invested in Zeke ( :D ) are salivating at the opportunity to burn a roster spot on the off chance they can start Zeke/DJ in a fantasy playoff game.

Very hard trying to figure out which RB will be the big cheese now for that team.

It'll be Kerwynn. CJnoK lost the backup job this preseason, and Ellington simply cant handle the carries. So for sure cross off CJ

Who knows though? Maybe Kerwynn explodes. I just dont see it happening, looks like a JAG to me. I would prefer it be Ellington, a known quantity who can definitely catch, but I think Kerwynn takes it down

That's what I thought at first. Then they bring back Chris Johnson and sign him, talk about increasing Ellington's role and some of the pundits are saying the Cardinals should have the Jets on speed dial and go after Forte.

Seeing as my favorite teams plays in their division I'm not shedding a tear. Hate to see a player of his caliber get injured though.
