Goes to show how much extra importance that game was for Seattle.

I mean, the Seahawks have been a consistently good team for a few years now, but please stop with the alpha dog nonsense. Being consistent doesn't mean you're the best. You can't claim that title when you haven't been to the SB since 2015. Cuz clearly, you haven't been the alpha for 2 years.

I mean the Seahawks are essentially the mid 00s Pistons...a title, 2 Finals appearances, and consistently a team to beat in the playoffs...but no way am I considering them the alpha of the East in 06, 07, or 08, when they got beaten by another East team.

That's actually a really fair comparison. Those Pistons teams had alot of characters too. 8-)

I'm just saying that the Seahawks are the alpha dog of the NFC, and have been the last 6 years or so. That's all. Can anyone really argue this fact?

A team like Philly would still be tough on the road in a playoff game. Same goes for New Orleans, Minnesota, Carolina, Atlanta, Green Bay with a healthy Rodgers.

Answer me this: What NFC team has been the alpha dog the last 6 years or so? Seahawks, obviously.

but why does that matter for this year?

It really doesn't, but that wasn't my point. But you don't think the Eagles knew they were coming to Seattle, and were going to use this game as a real test to see how far they had truly come? The Eagles averaged about 32 points a game, and came away with 10 points tonight. I think they know they've still got a ways to go now.

eh, i don't know about that. its tough to win on the road against good teams. doesn't mean the eagles still aren't a good team

look at the rams, they were on a roll - went to minnesota and lost pretty badly and then bounced back with a couple nice wins right after. the rams didn't become a terrible team because they lost one road game to another good team

All I know is that coming to Minnesota for a playoff game isn't what any of the other contenders wants to do. And it's starting to look like that is the road to the NFC Championship.

Week 16 looms large...

According to recent history, you might be on to something.

2018=Playoff team. 2019=No playoffs.

There seems to be a pattern here. 2014=Playoffs/ 2015=No Playoffs/ 2016=Playoffs/ 2017=Nope :wink:

On the other hand however, we still have Jerry. We could have all stars at every position and Jerry could still f... it all up. :swami:
