Never thought I would see eye to eye with a Hawks fan...

Honestly, I was tempted to take the Jags the whole way. Defense is just that good, and I expect steady improvement from Bortles and that passing game. But the Rams are just too loaded. I think a lot of people are picking them to implode for that very reason. Could go either way honestly.

By the way, when is the fantasy draft this year? Thought I would ask early considering what happened last year.

Don't know. BW runs a league every year. Might want to ask him.

Which reminds me, I hope he does the Pick 'Em league again this year as well, that is always good times.

MVP: Antonio Brown -- Steelers have a big year and Brown dominates with 1650+yds and 15+ TDs.
Offensive Player of the Year: Antonio Brown-- Will have an even better season, just a matter of health.
Defensive Player of the Year: Von Miller -- Bradley Chubb playing the other end frees up Miller to go wild.
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Saquon Barkley -- Ultra talented feature back in a good offense
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Bradley Chubb -- Playing opposite Von Miller could mean 10+ sacks for Chubb
Comeback Player of the Year: JJ Watt -- just playing a full season means 15+ sacks after being hurt for the last two years
Coach of the Year: Sean McVay -- stacked roster meant to win now and the media loves him
AFC Championship Game: Patriots vs. Steelers -- Both good teams in weak divisions
NFC Championship Game: Eagles vs. Rams -- Eagles repeat their success, Rams hungry and extremely talented
Super Bowl: Steelers vs. Rams
Super Bowl Champs: Rams -- Great at all the skill positions, D-Line and CB is the difference in SB win over Steelers
Super Bowl MVP: Todd Gurley -- Rams lean on him to take pressure off of Goff, has a huge game

For the most part the MVP and offensive player of the year have kind of come out of nowhere the past few years (that's with me counting Wentz as MVP since he would have won it had he not gotten hurt).

MVP: Deshaun Watson - he is the closest example to Wentz from last season, and he's got some great weapons on offense
Offensive player of the year - Zeke
Defensive player of the year - Aaron Donald
Offensive rookie of the year - Barkley
Defensive rookie of the year - Denzel Ward
Comeback player of the year - Aaron Rodgers
Coach of the year - Bill O'Brien
AFCCG - Patriots vs. Steelers
NFCCG - Rams vs. Eagles
Super Bowl - Rams vs. Patriots
Super Bowl Champs - Rams
Super Bowl MVP - Goff

Everyone picking against the Eagles? Interesting. They just won the SB with their backup QB, and were a huge underdog in every playoff game (especially in the NFC championship game and the SB).

People are forgetting that the Eagles got hit pretty hard by injuries, even disregarding Wentz. A healthier team this year is a bigger improvement over anything the Rams did imo.

I might warm up to them as the season progresses, but for the time being they have too many health concerns. Plus the AFC East is such a crapshoot, pretty sure a team hasn't won the division in back to back years for the past two decades.

Teddy Bridgewater is going to start all 16 games.

On a completely unrelated note, I have tickets to the Titans VS Jets game in December, and I may be the only person outside of the Bridgewater family who is hoping that he's still starting over Darnold at that time.

He had a good showing last night, much better than Darnold, but I still think Josh starts to open the season just because of his familiarity with the offense. With that being said, the Jets look pretty bad...Teddy will start at some point and will probably get the majority of the starts from that point on.

Well first of all, teams rarely repeat as conference champs unless you're the Patriots - and in the loaded NFC, it's really unlikely.

Secondly, while your statement on the surface is true, it doesn't really account for how the Eagles replacements played. Even though Wentz is a better QB than Foles, he wasn't going to play any better than Foles did in that super bowl.

The only other truly significant injury was Peters, but again, the Eagles played really well without him.

Seasons can shift on one play. The Rams/Eagles game this year was a good example: the Rams starting RT came out for a few plays and Chris Long beat the backup, forced a fumble that the Eagles recovered. They took the lead with a FG and won the game. If that RT doesn't get hurt....well, here's the domino effect:

The Rams hold on to beat the Eagles 35-34 (Eagles took the lead 37-35 off of that fumble and their last TD was on the last play of the game where the Rams were pitching the ball)

The Rams are now 12-3 going into the last week of the season and play their starters to secure a first round bye. Rams and Vikings finish 13-3, Eagles finish 12-4.

Philly plays and beats Atlanta, then comes to LA - even if they beat the Rams, they then have to go to Minnesota. It's VERY unlikely that the Eagles even make the super bowl.

If not for that RT coming out for that play.

Why does that matter? It doesn't really - but it shows the random nature of the NFL and why the Eagles simply getting back their star QB and LT (with some other good pieces) doesn't automatically mean they are going to win the super bowl again.

Overall, I disagree with the Eagles injured players being more of an upgrade than what the Rams did though. No team has ever added three all pro caliber players to an already good defense in one offseason.

Yeah and if Wentz didn’t get hurt, this isn’t even a conversation...

I also think it’s very possible that Wentz plays better than Foles. He’s just a better player with an added dimension to his game in terms of mobility.

Fully blessed the Rams RT got injured otherwise we would have never won the super bowl.
