I was watching on mute, for obvious reasons, but did Joe Buck get all outraged like he did with Randy Moss?
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

I was a little nervous the Falcons would be the team to end Cleveland's winless streak. Glad that's off the table.

If the Browns had a kicker they would have been 3-0. Even Greg Joseph doesn't seem like the right guy for the job...

They also nearly beat the Steelers and Saints, both probably better than the Jets. Mayfield looks great but sometimes stuff like that is good for motivation and putting in the extra work to be ready when the time comes. It seems like many of the best qbs were behind someone for a number of games or even a year.

This.

Plus TJ Watt had what, 36 sacks in week 1? Browns are starting an undrafted rookie at LT.

And the way Baker is, you never know - maybe him not being the week 1 starter was good for him. Another chip on his shoulder. I could see that.

I think I'm the only guy left that thinks Hue is a decent coach.

They'd have beaten both teams had Jackson given Mayfield a fair chance in competing for the starting job. And I mean come on, he was sitting behind Tyrod Taylor, not some HOF QB.

In other news, Buffalo was a playoff team last year with Tyrod, and got beat 47-3 by Baltimore who lost to the Bengals the first game this year without him. Last year in their game without him they got beat 54-24 by a 3-6 Chargers team and just got beat again by them going down 28-6 quickly, before the Chargers let off the gas.

Tyrod may not be a hall of fame QB, but he's a pretty good QB. I really don't know if a rookie opening against the Steelers or going to New Orleans after they lost to the Bucs in week one would have won either game.

I think he's the right guy going forward but I don't think it's any foregone conclusion they would have done any better the first two games with him.

Taylor is an average at best QB and last year when the Bills benched him and was replaced by a dude who threw 5 interceptions in a game. Really odd comparison to the dude who was just picked #1 overall.

Taylor has been abysmal through 2 and a half games for the Browns. Having a guy who throws it past the line of scrimmage would've made a huge different the first couple of weeks.
