But the Cowboys weren't willing to trade a first for Earl Thomas? Man did they get fleeced in this trade.

I think this was a good move by the Cowboys, they needed help at the position and they got someone who had over 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons.

ugh, would have rather used our pick on a QB.
I like Cooper, I just don't like any WR with Dak as QB.

Sure it's possible. But, it's also a huge gamble on their part.
They just gave up a first (likely top 20 pick/Worst case: top 10) for Amari Cooper.
Cooper also has just 1 year remaining on his deal.
Hell of a deal for the Raiders however. Incredible.

Raiders kind of make up for the Mack trade (slightly) with this trade. Nice trade by them.

The Cowboys were planning on using their first round pick next year on a WR anyway.

Gruden is taking a page from Hinkie - it seems. I kind of like what he's doing. I believe he has 3 1st round picks next year. I think it's pretty conceivable all 3 will be top 15 right?
